Kinley had disappeared somewhere, she guessed with some guy, and she was once again left to her own devices. A dangerous thing, but she was used to it, how she found her way down to the beach, she’ll never know, but she was glad she’d snuck some of the alcohol she and Kinley had snatched. She poured herself a drink from the punch bowl, looked around to see if anyone was looking before pulling out one of the flasks and dumping the entire thing into the punch. She had an extra flask for herself, but she smirked at her work, something she’d done at every school function, and started to step away.

"Hmm, nice to see some things haven't changed." Cordelia spoke under her breath with a slight teasing tone, having just caught the flash of the flask as someone tucked it away. She was surprised to see who the person was spiking the punch, briefly wondering how the two of them ended up in a place outside of the damn parties their parents would force them to go to, the same parties where they would sneak off and good around and the same environment that had brought her to have her heart broken. She shrugged off the bitter thoughts as she walked over to a log that was placed near the fire pit that was stacked with wood, except she had her back to it, looking out at the lake as she took the sketchbook that was tucked under her arm and cracking it open.

Shannon whipped her head around, narrowed her eyes at Cordelia as she tried to run through the faces and names of people she knew or had met even briefly. She watched her take a seat at the bonfire, debating with herself on just heading back to her cabin and hear about the drunk campers, but to her surprise she found herself taking a seat next to her. “Cordelia, how are you.” It wasn’t really a question, more of her trying to avoid the fact that she had gotten caught spiking the punch bowl, though she didn’t think she would actually tattle on her about it. To prove this point, she pulled out her second flask she had hidden and poured a small amount into her cup. “It’s been awhile since our last rendezvous.” They used to be invited to the same parties, till her mother started burning bridges with some of her old friends, Cordelia’s mom being one of them.

Cordelia figured Shannon would ignore her, turning her focus to her sketch book as she pulled a pencil from its spiral, tapping the end against the paper, even as she felt Shannon sit near her. She eyed her from the side, glancing at the flask she had pulled out and tried not to roll her eyes. Some things really didn't change apparently. "Yeah, like a year or something." She shrugged, wanting to forget that time but apparently that wasn't in the cards. At least she was running into Shannon and not her ex, not that he was supposed to be anywhere near here from what she knew. "Apparently people don't like your mom anymore." She said dryly, having heard more than enough about the infamous woman but again, didn't give much of a shit about her or anyone else in that world.

Shannon slipped the flask into its hiding place before taking a sip of her drink, approving the taste as she mulled over the thought of how long it had been since she and Cordelia had hung out because their parents had been throwing another stupid party. She rolled her eyes at Cordelia saying people didn’t like her mom, “They can join the fucking club then,” while she loved her mom because, well, she was her mom, she absolutely hated the woman. “I’m sure there’s a long line of people who’d like to give her a piece of their mind.” And she was at the front of it, though for the time being, she’d keep her mouth shut until she was eighteen and her trust fund kicked in. She eyed Cordelia from the side, noticing the sketch pad, “Never though I’d see you here.” She was honestly shocked she’d run into anyone from her old circle, even if this school seemed prestigious enough.

In their silence Cordelia looked down at her sketchbook, starting to move her pencil along the paper in quick strokes, making a loose shape but not having a real idea of what she was doing yet. She snorted a little at Shannon's comment about her mom, shaking her head a little, "sounds like a big club." She replied, erasing a few of her marks and replacing them with longer ones. "Neither did I, bit I wanted to get away from all the bullshit." She said, wondering if the two of them running into each other was a good thing or not, "you're the only person I've seen from the old crowd so far."

Shannon eyed the sketchbook Cordelia was drawing in, jealousy flashing through her at how easy it was for Cordelia to draw as if it was nothing. She could do basic sketches, enough for her fashion designs to show. “I’m sure it’s already packed to capacity,” Her mother had pissed off enough people, she was always surprised she still had so called friends to run off to other cities and countries with. She smirked when Cordelia said she was the only person she’d seen from the old crew, which was a good thing she figured, more for Cordelia’s sake, though she couldn’t help but want to roll her eyes at how Cordelia was now acting, all because of a stupid boy. “So far, I’ve only recognized you.” Though she could have easily been drunk or high and still have met someone from this camp and not know it.

Cordelia snorted, shaking her head, what a way to live, with so many people disliking you. It was hard enough to realize how much you couldn't live up to expectations so coming to know that so many people didn't care about you just seemed...exhausting. Briefly she thought about how much she had lived for others, to gain their approval, and now...she couldn't give two shits about doing things she was expected to. "Seems like a relief, I think I'd rather be here than at one of those other crappy boarding schools that make you wear uniforms." She said with a slight wrinkle of her nose, "but I'm not a fan of getting eaten up by mosquitos."

Shannon sipped at her cocktail, wondering when someone would notice the punch bowl was spiked. Wondered if they would say something or leave it be. She started checking her nails, finding this bonfire boring and stupid and debating on finding a way out of this camp for some fun. She scrunched up her nose at the thought of having to wear any type of uniform, even if the plaid skirts were cute, “Mosquitos, or uniforms.” She tried to weigh the options and didn’t see which one was worse as she slapped one of the blood suckers that had landed on her arm. “Ugh, maybe uniforms wouldn’t be so bad.” She mumbled as she brushed the dead mosquito away, “So, still drawing huh.”

Cordelia continued to sketch, her pencil strokes taking the shape of a dragons profile with a narrowed eye gazing out at a blank space she wasn't sure what she was going to fill it with. She paused when she heard Shannon slap a mosquito and tried not to laugh, "I would have to agree on that but it's too late now." She shrugged slightly and looked back at her drawing, "yeah, can't seem to stop now, especially with all the time on my hands. What have you been up to? Besides adding to punch of course."

Shannon narrowed her eyes, though she was looking at the fire in the bonfire. She figured Cordelia had caught her, but she had hoped she’d gotten away with it. “Do you plan on telling?” She asked as she mulled over the question of what she’d been up to, mostly getting into trouble like usual, and that’s when she heard a horse neigh in the near distance. She sat up a little straighter and hoped there was horse riding at this camp, but she wasn’t sure where the barn was.

Cordelia rolled her eyes, turning to face the fire, "I might have changed but I'm not a snitch." She replied with a slight frown, "besides, if I told them, they'd dump it all before I could get a drink." She glanced over at Shannon when she saw her sit up a little, a slight smile tugging at the corner of her mouth, "apparently that hasn't changed either." She joked, turning her attention back to her sketch then closed the book, tucking the pencil back into its spine.

Shannon turned and smirked towards Cordelia, liking that the chick at least wouldn’t be against drinking. Maybe she’d be up to partying with whatever crowd they’d encounter at this school, though she wondered if she wouldn’t because of what happened. She rolled her eyes, “What, that I’m still a crazy horse girl?” She had heard that rumor run through the group, though she wasn’t the only one who rode horses, she was the only one who had joined the English rider’s teams and competed. She turned her attention to the fire, watching the flames flicker, eating at the wood, and watched the smoke disappear into the sky, all while planning to find the stables.

"Your words, not mine." Cordelia replied with a slight laugh as she looked towards the fire, wondering briefly if the boy from earlier was going to show up or not. She brushed away the thought as she looked at Shannon again, "I think hell would freeze over if you were forced to come all the way out here without some kind of access to a horse." She said, thoughts of Blake switching to the thoughts of smores and the punch. She pushed herself up from the log, "I'll be right back." She tucked her sketch book under one arm and wandered over to the table, stepping past a few people who had arrived and helped herself to the punch, looking forward to something to ease her nerves and make this camp suck a bit less. Once she had her drink she headed back to her spot by Shannon.

Shannon shook her head, figuring Cordelia wasn’t the one spreading rumors ever, the girl was too quiet. But she had a point, if she didn’t have access to a horse, she’d probably go crazy. While Cordelia walked off, she guessed to grab a drink, she studied her nails as she thought about what type of horses they probably kept at this camp, as she thought about pouring the rest of her alcohol and just drinking it straight. “Too bad you don’t have connections to the old crew, was hoping to have some gossip about everyone.” She joked when Cordelia took a seat next to her again, a little shocked she wanted to, but she guessed it was better than sitting alone.

Cordelia shook her head with a snort, "last I knew Rowan got chlamydia from Adrianna and Emma's little white powder fixation has turned into full on addiction and Max finally crashed that car his dad gave him but since he didn't get hurt or whatever his dad just got him a new one." She shrugged, "my brother still talks to some of them so he just had to fill me in." She said with a roll of her eyes and took a sip of her drink, raising an eyebrow, even spiked it didn't taste horrible.

Shannon snorted at finding out Rowan got a STD. She had found him out as a dumbass early on and stayed away from him. Granted, shortly after he had tried to sleep with her, he was dating Cordelia. She felt bad for not saying anything, but most of the people in the group didn’t trust her word, all because of her mom. “How nice of him,” she said sarcastically, though hoped he had better luck then the two of them seemed to have. The group she thought were her friends, turned out to be nothing more than a bunch of back stabbers. “Did your parents send you out here, or did you decide you wanted out.” She figured she’d asked for a change, but what was the coincidence that it was the same school her mom had picked.

Cordelia just shook her head, wanting to forget about those people, they obvious weren't meant to be real friends, they were just place holders. It was easier to think of them in that way. "I've always gone to Graymore," she replied, "my parents would just bring me out when it would make the family look good, same with Alexander. They did say my attitude was shit so they sent me here for the summer." She said with a roll of her eyes. "What made you get sent here?"

Shannon was surprised at the fact she didn’t know Cordelia had already attended Graymore, though she hadn’t actually gone out of her way to get to know her. “Oh, you know, got into another fight at school,” She sighed, remembering how it started because her so called best friend was gossiping and plotting. “Mom said this was my last shot or be shipped across the pond without Hades.” Though now it made sense why her mother had picked this place, if she knew one of the kids of their social group was attending.

"Huh, yet something else that doesn't surprise me." Cordelia joked, having heard about some of those fights, hearing those rumors were part of the reason why she had kept a bit of a distance between herself and Shannon back during those times. "Must have been a good one if she sent you to the boonies like this, my parents couldn't find an all girls school up to their standards." She rolled her eyes, partially glad that was the case. "Hades," she repeated slowly as she searched for the memory, "ah right, your horse, that would be fucked if she did that."

Shannon didn’t respond to yet another rumor that was actually true about her, but she wasn’t going to deny that she was pretty, but she was also deadly when she needed to be. It kept people at a distance lately, and she was glad for it. “Yes well, I don’t plan on screwing up,” She was going to do her best not to piss off her mom, though it wasn’t always that hard to do. “It would be, but it wouldn’t surprise me if she tried.” Her mother hated her horse, only because it was the last thing Shannon was able to keep, the final gift from her father.

Cordelia nodded, wondering if Shannon was going to be able to stick to that or if she would end up losing her temper. For the sake of her horse she hoped she would. "I would say your moms a bitch but there's no point in stating the obvious." She said and took another sip from her drink when the sounds of a guitar started to fill the air. "Oh you gotta be shitting me," she said under her breath, glancing around the bonfire to see three boys who seemed to be pulled right out of a country catalogue sitting on a log, one of them strumming on a guitar while the other two, twins it seemed, sat on either side of him, one of them grinning while the other just shook his head with a small smirk.

Shannon opened her mouth to respond when the sounds of a guitar filled the air. She was ready for all the girls at the bonfire to come trampling over to see who the player was, the music a siren song for them. She scrunched up her face, “Ugh, not drunk enough for that.” She downed the rest of her cup, before standing and turning to Cordelia. “Are you going to sneak off while I get a drink?” She smirked, knowing she probably wouldn’t, but she couldn’t blame her if she did. She turned towards the table with the spiked punch bowl was and headed towards it, though started laughing when she saw a few groups of girls making their way towards the bonfire and who she guessed, was playing the guitar. She stood in the small line as she waited to fill her cup with something, anything, not even caring if the punch wasn’t spiked anymore, since she still had her own supply.
“WOAH, is that Luke Bryan I hear?” Blake teased as he stepped towards Samuel and who he assumed were his cousins that he spoke about before he passed out. He stuffed the rest of the smores he and his brother had been chowing down into his mouth, licking the marshmallow off his fingers as he looked around, spotting his brother trying to woo another girl, to which he had to shake his head because he was going to get his heart broken, and then spotted the chick Sam almost took out earlier, giving her a quick hello before turning back to Sam. “So, I’m Blake. Samuels new best friend.” He tased, holding his hand out to his surprise, another set of twins.

Cordelia laughed at Shannon's comment about not being drunk enough for that, she definitely had a point. "I don't plan on it, unless the songs get too cheesy and someone gets serenaded." She joked, crossing one leg over the other and resting her sketchbook atop of it when movement caught her eye, seeing Blake as said hello. For a moment her brain seemed to malfunction but she managed a little wave before looking back at her book.
Samuel stopped playing for a second, shooting Blake a glare but before he could speak Reed was laughing, clapping him on the shoulder. "Naw, more like Lee Brice with this next song that's sure to get the ladies swooning." He joked as he looked over Blake, "you must be Samuel's new friend Blake, I'm Reed and the other, less attractive guy over there is Jake."
Jake rolled his eyes, reaching around Samuel and smacking Reed across the back of his head before looking at Blake and nodding his head in greeting, "he says less attractive but all know he means the more sensible and liked one." He said as he shook Blakes hand.
Samuel sighed, shaking his head, "great, now I have to put up with all three of you idiots." He said, turning his attention back to his guitar as he started to play a rendition of the song One of Them Girls by Lee Brice.
"Oh you love us," Reed laughed as he pushed himself up from the log, bracing himself so he wouldn't sway, "I'll get us all drinks." He offered, giving Blake a quick shake of his hand before walking away, his limp pulling at him a bit but he continued on like it was nothing, sauntering up to the line where he took a spot behind a rather pretty blond. He glanced at her from the corner of his eye as s cheesy plan formed in his head. He leaned into her a little and spoke, going along with the song, "...and you're one of them girls that ain't tryna meet nobody, you're just here for the party...If I'm wrong then stop me..."

Blake smiled when Cordelia waved back, turning his attention back to the guys. He nodded his head to Reed, laughing at Jake, and had to take a double take, looking between Jake and Reed. “So, Sam, when were you going to tell me you collected twins as a hobby.” He joked, pointing towards his brother, sitting with the brunette still, shocked she hadn’t left him yet. “That’s my twin, Bobby,” he’d have to introduce him to Samuel later, since he seemed currently occupied.
Shannon started tapping her feet as the line took forever to move it seemed, people were realizing the punch was spiked and everyone was trying to get a glass before it was taken away. She smirked at her handiwork, though the sound of the guitar starting up again with a song she didn’t know soured her mood a little. She rolled her eyes and shook her head, though stopped when someone started singing some lyrics to her. She leaned away, her eyebrows furrowing, a look of disgust played across her face, as her lips turned down into a frown. “Can I HELP you?” she looked him up and down, sizing him up to see if he was even worth continuing this conversation with.

Cordelia flipped her book to a new page after balancing her cup on the log next to her, taking out her pencil once again. She glanced towards the guy playing guitar and the group around him before she started to a new sketch, humming softly along to the song.
Samuel raised an eyebrow, the nickname, as simple as it was, almost throwing him off but he continued with the song, shaking his head. As he sang Jake spoke for his cousin, looking from Blake to his brother and back, laughing a little, "dang, he's probably doing it so his little brain doesn't have to work so hard to remember people." He joked, which earned him another glare from Samuel but he shrugged it off with an easy grin.
Reed couldn't stop himself from laughing at her reaction. "I dunno, can you?" He smirked as he looked at her, "don't know why you're miffed, the song seems to fit you already from what I can tell." He joked, peering over her as the line moved along.

Blake chuckled, “I mean, he has an excuse with you two, being cousins and all,” he pointed out, sticking his hands into his pocket as he listened to Sam play, thinking he was better than decent and shouldn’t have been so worried about playing it. He was sure to get the girls flocking towards him any minute. “If he so happens to collect another set of twins, then I’d be worried.” He laughed.
Shannon rolled her eyes with his response and turned her back to him, deciding she’d try to ignore him like she usually did with guys she didn’t like. “Never heard this song before, but I’m sure that I don’t care.” She said through gritted teeth as she stepped up to the punch bowl and poured herself her drink, almost filling it to the brim. She was sure to get drunk if this was her original spiked punch, especially when she planned to add more to it.

Jake chuckled, "if he manages to make another friend hell would freeze over." He joked.
Samuel finished his song, taking a moment to shoot Jake and Blake a glare, "I'm already regretting you two meeting." He grumbled, looking away but his eyes caught on Reed and a not so thrilled looking blond and smirked. "Oh no, Reeds already trying to hit on someone and she looks pissed."
"Hmm, I think you should care because it definitely fits you." Reed replied, "and if you knew the song you'd realize that I can be a bit stubborn." He said, glancing down at her cup, "damn, got enough there? Must be some good stuff." He said as he reached out and picked up enough cups for his brother, cousin, and Blake.

Blake chuckled at Sam reluctance for them to hang out but had a feeling he was looking forward to it, he knew he was. He looked over to where the punch table was, spying Jakes twin Reed, talking up a blonde chick. “Something he and my brother have in common, always chasing after girls.” He chuckled, wondering if Reed was also the type that liked difficult personalities.
Shannon rolled her eyes, not caring what this guy thought, who was he to say the song fit her when he didn’t even know who she was. “Please, save the pickup lines for some other girl, I have drinking to do.” She gave him an annoyed smile before turning back towards the bonfire. “Bye bye.” She flipped him the bird before making her way back to Cordelia, immediately pulling out the flask and dumping the rest of it into her cup, not caring who saw. “Boys.” She scoffed, rolling her eyes at how she was so over them.

Samuel shook his head, "Reeds a stubborn and..."
"annoying? Full of himself? bull headed?" Jake suggested.
Samuel smiled a little, "yeah, basically once he sets his sights on a girl he's hard to shake, I pity whoever gets his attention." He said with a little laugh before strumming his guitar and starting another song.
Reed whistled lowly as he looked after her but as soon as she flipped him off he couldn't stop himself from laughing, "won't be good bye for long princess." He called after her before grabbing the drinks and heading back to the guys.
Cordelia had looked up from her drawing in time to see Shannon gracefully walking away with her middle finger in the air, unable to stop herself from grinning. "Boys?" She questioned once Shannon was sitting down, "I take it hot cowboys aren't your type? There's only three to choose from."
