Lillianna pouted but knew it would only be a matter of time before he’d tell her who it was, she just hoped it would be before the party on Friday. She smirked when he asked about the abandoned building. “So, it’s like this mansion that some dude owned, and his wife died inside or something.” She didn’t really know much about the history, she had zoned out while some teacher talked about it.

"I've heard rumors about that," Ben said, listening in on some conversations in the hall or in the classroom when people either didn't care or didn't think they were being listened to. "We should go check it out though," he added, thinking it might be kind of fun to do that today.

“I saw it from a distance, ain’t no way I’d go there at night.” But during the day Lillianna felt like it was a little safer, even if cops were more likely to catch you, but she didn’t like the way it looked at night and she swore there was a ghost on the grounds that night.

"Good thing its day time then." Ben replied, ready to go check out the place and at least look around, maybe he'd find something he'd want to take home or something he could break. If the place was really abandoned then it shouldn't matter what he did or what he took.

“Let’s go.” Lillianna figured they could finish off the alcohol she had stashed in her trunk too, have a fun day away from campus, and away from people who would probably get them in trouble. She wouldn’t hate going back to Vegas, but she had a feeling if she did get expelled, her dad would put her under lock and key. She headed for the doors they had come in through, digging into her purse for another gummy worm. “Do you have a girlfriend?” She asked bluntly, not wanting him to think she was interested, but didn’t she also didn’t want someone calling her a homewrecker for hanging out with him, even if it was already too late for that.

Ben grinned, not arguing as he followed after her but it quickly faded when she asked him about a girlfriend. He'd had hook ups here and there but nothing came close to making him want a deeper relationship. "No I don't, you got a boyfriend?" He asked, figuring it was a simple eye for an eye question.

Lillianna was at least happy she wasn’t going to piss off a girl at this school, though she’d sleep with him in a heartbeat, “No, broke it off with my last boyfriend before coming out here.” The truth was her impending arranged marriage, but she was planning to break up with him anyway.

Ben nodded, "good, I don't feel like fighting anyone if they try to accuse me of stealing their girl." He partially joked, but if it did happen he wouldn't hold back from throwing some punches, confident that he could hold his own to show that he wasn't someone who could be pushed around.

Lillianna shook her head, “Too much work to cheat,” She didn’t see the point, her grandmother had said she’d break a lot of hearts. She headed for the parking lot where she popped the trunk and tossed her purchase inside before walking around to the driver side and sliding in. “Any stops?” she asked as she set her purse in the back seat and pulled up Google Maps on her phone.

Ben nodded, it was hard enough to keep himself happy, let alone someone else. "Yeah it is." He nodded as he walked with her, finding a trash can and throwing away what he had. "I don't think so." He told her, figuring they could explore today then go from there, if there was another day where they went there together.

Lillianna was glad he didn’t want to stop anywhere, and she slid into the driver’s side and started up the car. “Alcohol of choice?” She asked, thinking about the bottle of vodka and tequila she had in her trunk and if she had a choice, she’d pick the tequila, though she might share if he liked the same.

Ben hopped into the car, glancing over at Lillianna. "Whiskey, but anything works as long as it does the job of getting me drink." He joked, not really being a picky person, especially after he got drunk enough where everything ended up tasting the same.

“I got Vodka and Tequila, haven’t had a chance to snag Whiskey.” Lillianna smirked, glad he wasn’t too picky about what he drank. She didn’t have to be picky back in Vegas, she could have all the Tequila she could sneak as long as her mom never thought twice about why her bottles went missing so quickly, but she was an alcoholic herself so it was easy to gaslight her into thinking it was herself. “I like what I like, but coming out here I’ve learned to try a few new things.” She hated that about this town, but alcohol was alcohol, and as long as she could get drunk off it, she might as well drink anything.

"Vodka works." Ben replied, it all burned and did the same to him. "But anything that gets me drunk works too." He joked a little, wondering how she got her hands on a couple bottles but didn't feel like he had the energy to pry.

Lillianna felt like the drive out to the abandoned mansion was full of twists and turns and she hoped she wouldn’t get lost going back. As long as she had her phone she had GPS at least, but her phone often died because she used it so much. “I need to refill my stash soon, I’ll try and snag you a bottle of Whiskey.” She didn’t want to tell him her source until he told her his, but all she had done was flirt with the bartender at her brother’s future arcade. She slowed down as they reached the gates to the place, finding them halfway closed and covered in vines, but it was wide enough for her car to fit through. “Do you believe in ghosts?” she asked, feeling a chill run down her spine as she looked at all the decay and overgrowth as the nearby forest worked to reclaim the land.

Ben looked out the window, taking in the passing scenery and trying to remember how to get back out here for the future when he felt like it. "Sounds good to me," he told her, figuring he could get her something when he went to refill his own stash. "I'll grab you something when I meet with my guy too." He told her before looking past the gates and at the big abandoned house. "No, but this place might make me change my mind." He joked.

“I enjoy weed, Percocet is great too. Anything that’s an upper too.” Lillianna liked the drugs that made her awake more than sleepy, though she did weed to counteract all that, which in hindsight was probably not good for her, but it was fun. She nodded as she pulled up as close as she was willing to with the car and shut it off. “Let’s go drunk ghost hunting.” She laughed, hoping they actually wouldn’t find anything other than dust, decay, and maybe a rat or two. She stepped out of the car and popped the trunk, pulling out the two bottles of alcohol she had left from her hiding spot, and handed him the bottle of Vodka.

Ben nodded, taking mental note of her list. "Sounds good." He chuckled and looked at her, still a bit surprised that she wanted to do something like this but he was ready to go along with it. "Hell yeah." He got out of the car and took the bottle, twisting off the top and taking a swig. His nose crinkled at the way it burned but he knew after a few more drinks it wouldn't feel like anything.

Lillianna smirked, raising an eyebrow at how quick he was to just take a sip of unknown substance from basically a stranger, but she soon followed him with her own tequila bottle, taking a smaller amount before heading to what she assumed was the front doors. “Think it’s unlocked?” She asked, though noticed the window next to the door was completely broken, and despite someone trying to block it up with wood, it was wide open for anyone or anything to walk in. “Thinking the window is how we get in.” she giggled, feeling the touch of tequila welcome her back like an old friend as she drank a little more before stepping through the window and into the abandoned place.

Ben walked along with Lillianna, kicking at a couple pine cones until they got to the front of the building. He looked at it all with a slight frown, "you can climb through the window if you want." He shrugged but smirked as he watched her climb through before he pushed on the door, watching as it creaked open and he stepped inside, looking around.

Lillianna was shocked the door was open, but the window wasn’t that difficult to get in through. “Whatever,” She shrugged, always willing to find an adventure even if it was just walking through a window. The inside was just as bad if not worse than the inside, at least the entryway seemed to be. “Damn shame this went to waste.” She saw the potential, could see what it used to be in its glory days. She sipped at her bottle of Tequila as she stepped towards an old couch just sitting in the middle of the room, wondering how many diseases now infested the fabric.

Ben stood there, taking everything in. It was definitely creepy and he wouldn't be surprised if the place did end up being haunted but his biggest concern would be to make sure that neither of them fell through the floor or something. "Yeah, wonder why it did." He said as he continued to look around, taking a drink from his bottle as he started to walk around the area. "Bet it belonged to some rich ass people once."

“Why yes it was, owned by an Alexander Brenard Graymore, the family who named the town.” Lillianna mimicked the teacher’s excitement with a little sarcasm, rolling her eyes at how ridiculously excited the teacher had been about it. “I don’t remember what happened though.” Some tragedy, something happened to make this beautiful place go to waste.

Ben slowly turned to face Lillianna with a raised eyebrow, "were you just possessed or something? Because you sound like you were possessed by a sad history teacher." He told her, almost wondering if maybe he shouldn't have come out to the middle of nowhere with a stranger.

Lillianna laughed, tilting her head back, “Maybe I could be an actress one day,” she didn’t see herself in that line of work, but if it was easy and she made a lot of money, maybe she didn’t need to get married. “It’s the last thing I heard before zoning out in class, not sure the tragedy that happened after, but did it really matter? She moved onto a hallway leading off the entryway, sipping at the bottle of Tequila to make it last, just wanting a nice buzz.

"Maybe." Ben chuckled a little with a shake of his head, he didn't see the appeal of being famous and all sorts of people watching your every move. He liked to cause mischief but he didn't care for lingering attention. "Oh, so you missed out on the important part." He added as he wandered towards the couches and peered up through the hole in the ceiling.

“Yeaaaaaa, just a little bit. There were some boring parts in between, so I lost interest.” She called out from the hallway, standing in the doorway to an empty room, the windows were all broken, the walls peeling, and she was sure she heard the scuttling of rats somewhere, hidden under the trash piled in the corner.

Ben laughed, "uh huh, but that was the not boring part." He called back to her, looking up at the hole before meandering to another room. He peered through an archway, seeing that it opened up into the room that Lillianna was in. He quickly took a step back, going quiet then started to whisper her name.

“Probably not, but I was already gone.” Lillianna couldn’t explain it, once she zoned out it took a lot to get her back to reality. She walked down the hallway, hearing something like whispering, but she couldn’t tell what it was saying. “That better be you, Ben.” She eyed the hallway, but didn’t see anything, so she continued down the hallway, ignoring the shiver running down her spine.

Ben didn't respond but a smirk crossed his lips when she called for him. He peeked a round the corner again, seeing her walk away with her back to him. He picked up a rock from the floor and crept down another hall and chucked a rock in a random direction, the sound of it hitting and bouncing off a wall seeming to echo throughout the entire first floor of the mansion. Ben crept away as quickly and quietly as he could and hid around another corner.
