"I feel like work ethic makes a lot of employers turn a blind eye to certain things," Autumn knew costars who would often did things like, constantly eat, always wore a specific color, or something else the producers let slide because they were amazing actors. She frowned when she noticed he seemed to disappear into himself for a moment, wondering if talking about work made him think about certain patients back at the hospital. She turned back to the movie, in time to see Maribel find Bruno in his secret lair. "This part always makes me a little sad." Bruno never left his family, never left the table either, it was so bitter sweet.

"Maybe," Charlie replied, not thinking that he worked harder than anyone else, he just did what he thought was right and he just happened to live that he did. He turned his attention back to the tv, mindlessly munching away at the popcorn but stopped when the movie focused in on Bruno's drawn on plate at his made up table, his hand stopping in mid air. "Now that's just...really sad."

Autumn reached over to the bowl of popcorn at the same time as Charlie, not realizing it as both their eyes stared up at the T.V. screen at Bruno's sad little plate. She did think it was sad, but at the same time she thought it was sweet that he stayed trying to keep the walls of the house together. Even though the reason was because the mountains surrounded the town and made it hard to actually do that. "I do feel sad that he was hated because of his gift, it wasn't his fault." she frowned, feeling around in the bucket for some popcorn, but felt Charlie's hand instead, but she thought it was just the bottom of the bowl.

At first Charlie didn't realize that Autumn's hand was on his, focused on the movie but when he felt it move he glanced down without moving his head. His cheeks heated slightly but he turned his gaze back tot he tv, not wanting to bring attention to the action but moved his hand, pushing over some remaining pieces of popcorn into her reach. "Yeah, it isn't his fault people don't like what he says, he can't control it." He agreed, wondering what his power would be if he was in that world. Probably something lame like changing the color of objects.

Autumn felt a couple of kernels of popcorn in the bowl, taking a few before popping one in her mouth. "Honestly, his power isn't even the worst one. Like, Dolores can hear a pin drop… What secrets does she know?" They tried to make it seem like she couldn't keep a secret, but she knew Bruno was there, based on the Bruno song.

Charlie slipped his hand out of the bowl but continued to hold it so it wouldn't fall over and dump the unpopped kernels everywhere. He turned his head to look at her, "right, or Pepa's weather controlling ability, that has to be stressful." He shuddered, not only would your emotions be known to everyone but they could seriously hurt someone or ruin things like the crops that fed everyone.

"Dude, her power is the worst! Why does it have to be based on her emotions?" Autumn thought that was really stupid, even if the powers seemed like they had downsides to it, like her sister can heal, but she had to cook a meal. Bruno predicted bad things probably more than good things, but those both sounded better than weather based on emotions. "If it wasn’t, it would be easy to just, conjure rain to water the plants." She pointed out, feeling like Pepe got that short end of the stick on the power situation.

"Exactly," Charlie nodded, there would be no way to truly hide how you were feeling, even if you mastered your power there was still a chance. Just thinking about it made him feel a little stressed out and it was impossible he'd ever have that power. "The little kids power is cool though, it'd be fun to talk to animals but so would shape shifting." He said, thinking it was kind of strange how two of three kids had animal related abilities, even though Camilo could turn into humans too.

"I would love to be able to talk to animals." Autumn said, wanting the treehouse room as well. She loved Isabella's room too, with all the flowers, but she was kind of sad they didn't show anyone else's room. "Would you marry into the family?" She wasn't sure she could do that to her child, expecting so much from them, to the point of alienating them almost completely.

"Absolutely," Charlie replied without hesitation, "if I'm considering marrying someone that means I really love them and something like a dumb family hierarchy isn't going to stop me." He said, though he somewhat kicked himself for that, he hadn't listening to his family about Yasmin and now look at where he was now. He held back a sigh as his ex-wife's face flashed before his eyes, dulling his mood a little.

Autumn felt her stomach flutter at his words, felt her lips curl into a big smile, though it faltered slightly when he sighed, as if he had something heavy on his chest. She bit the inside of her cheek as she thought, not wanting to probe into his life, but she knew talking about it helped. She figured she probably get off her chest why she was here, and then maybe actually find a house and get out of his hair. She couldn't stop herself from looking to his hair with that thought, finding the need to run her fingers through it. "You have really gorgeous hair, it would suck if you had to cut it." She admitted, wanting to make him feel better even if she didn't know why.

Charlie jerked out of his thoughts of Yasmin, looking over at Autumn with wide eyes. "I don't plan on cutting it," he told her, a little confused at the comment but he could feel his cheeks heating up. "Out of all of us only one of my brothers keeps my hair short, but Beck always has to try to be edgy and do the opposite of the majority." He said, thinking of fondly of his pain in the ass brother.

His reaction to her compliment of his hair made Autumn wonder if he didn’t hear it often. She had I fight the urge to reach over and at least touch the ends of it, her mind going back to when he caught her, and her fingers twisted the pieces at the back of his neck that came out of his man bun. She chuckled at the fact he had a brother that wanted to be different, “Sounds a little like me, my siblings stayed in their hometown. I left wanting more.” She never found what she thought she was looking for, the more part just ended up being an overbooked schedule and constantly worrying about her image.

"Beck has always been a free spirit," Charlie chuckled softly, but it did worry him sometimes, granted he worried about all of his brothers, it was just something that came natural to him even when they were all together. "Him and Leo," he added, though the former had certainly toned down over the past couple of years. "What are your siblings like?" He asked.

Suddenly Autumn wanted to take back saying anything about having siblings, say she was an only child, as if it would have matter if she had lied or not, though the world knew she had siblings. “Oh, I haven’t talked to my siblings in a while, but I have an older brother who went into the military, one older sister whose also a nurse,” she smiled softly, knowing she never asked her sister how her day had gone, and wondered if it was too late to start. “And my baby sister is in college.” What she was studying, she didn’t know, she just knew some of them envied her because her mother decided she was more important because she was famous. She didn’t think that was true, but her older sister had basically said as much the last time they had talked, two years ago.

Charlie listened to her as she spoke, leaning in a little as she described her siblings. "Maybe you should try reaching out to them some time," he offered, not being able to imagine not talking to at least one of his siblings every week, but living close to a couple of them did help with communication and spending time together. "I'm supposed to go to Aleah's this Sunday for family brunch." He asked, the activity popping into his head, he couldn't miss it, Aleah would kill him if he didn't arrive.

Autumn chewed at her lower lip in thought, wondering how her siblings would react now that she was practically in hiding. "I should, maybe when I find a place that isn't crashing in your spare bedroom." She chuckled softly, wanting to move on from the talk of her family, and was glad he brought up his own again. "That sounds nice, how often does that happen?" she wondered if it was once a month or just whenever they could get together.

"What? Afraid they're going to judge you for having a roommate?" Charlie chuckled, though he was joking part of him did wonder if she really didn't want to be seen with him. He tried not to dwell on this as they continued to talk. "Aleah said at least every other Sunday," he told her, knowing that if his sister had it her way it would be every Sunday.

Autumn laughed and lightly slapped his shoulder, "Far from the truth!" She wasn't sure what the real reasoning was, other than not wanting to over welcome her stay with him, even if she enjoyed his company more than anyone she'd been around before. "Do you ever miss any because of work?" She knew his schedule was never a set schedule, that every week the day could change when you were called in, which sounded even worse than her overpacked schedule. At least she knew exactly what was happening a month in advance.

Charlie laughed from deep in his chest when she smacked him, reaching over and lightly shoving her shoulder away from him, "uh huh!" He teased, taking the now empty popcorn goal and setting it on the coffee table. "I've had to miss a couple here and there but my sister understands that." He told her, "but I've been lucky most of the time to be off for those days or get off just in time to go."

Autumn couldn't stop the stupid grin on her face from showing up when he lightly shoved her shoulder, suddenly feeling all the spots they were touching, and hoped he wouldn't move away when he noticed. She smiled softly, "That's awesome, do all your family members living here show up?" she asked, wondering if there was one or two who didn't want to, or didn't because of other reasons, her thoughts going back to her siblings.

Charlie grinned back her, if he'd done something like that to Yasmin, well, he would have been in the doghouse for who knew how long. "Yeah, everyone does, sometimes Steph and Moira will face time in and then the kids will come too, if they think we're cool enough to spend a Sunday with." He chuckled, looking forward when both of them came, Vaya brought the best desserts and Rosco was always game to play football in the backyard.

Autumn felt a little tug at her heart, wishing she and her siblings were close like this, to have Sunday brunch or Friday night dinners like they used to at Grandmas. "That's so sweet, and they go to the high school here?" She asked, wondering if he moved closer for the kids or moved before they started attending the school.

"They do." Charlie nodded, stretching his arms above his head and laying them out across the back of the couch. "Aleah came here first then the niece and nephew and Marcus followed then the rest of us kind of did." He chuckled a little, still finding it funny that so many of them had ended up in this little town but it did, in a sense, feel like home to him.

Autumn giggled, "Just the entire family transplanting somewhere else." She wasn't sure how often that actually happened, but at least they were all willing to stay together, even by facetime. "Aleah, she's the principal of the school right?" He had talked a little about his family and she tried to remember every single thing he told her.

"Most of us." Charlie chuckled, knowing his parents would never leave Montana and he doubted either of his older sisters would either, especially Moira, who had to raise her kids and took it upon herself to check in on their parents even though they were doing just fine with the two of them. "Yeah," he nodded, a warmth blooming in his chest when she remembered his sister, "she is and Markus is a teacher, we always make fun of him for her being his boss."

"That's awesome for your niece and nephew too, since they can be away from home, still learn and grow, and have family nearby." Though she wasn't sure if having your aunt and uncle as your principal and teacher would be that fun, but at least if something happened, they had someone they could go to. She eyed the screen for a second to see the end was close, and while she wanted to stay up forever with Charlie, she knew he'd need to get some sleep. Yet, she couldn't ask him if he wanted to watch another movie, feeling like it was selfish of her to ask.

Charlie nodded, throat suddenly tightening as he thought of Rosco and Vaya...and everything they had gone through that had brought them here. He still struggled with coming to terms at times of the horrible things they had delt with at such young ages and some things they didn't know about. "Yeah, it is." He finally said, clearing his throat a little.

Autumn felt like the moment was a little tense and she couldn't help but wonder if he was ready for bed, maybe even bored of talking with her. She wondered if she should fake a yawn and go to bed herself. She opened her mouth to do just that, and instead asked him something else. "If you got a dog, what kind would you get?" She wasn't sure if he'd be the type to buy from a breeder or adopt from the shelter.

Charlie tilted his head, "a big one, from a shelter." He said, not having a specific breed in mind. He figured that if he and the dog were meant to be then they'd click. "Maybe the one that's been there the longest, depending on if it likes me." He chuckled.
