Cass hated how effortless it was for him to move it, it seemed so heavy to her, wondering how she was going to carry a child around. She swallowed the nervous lump in her throat, but forced herself to nod. "Perfect, hopefully." She sighed, knowing she'd change her mind a thousand times before finally ending on a choice.

Leo looked at her with a chuckle, "if you need it moved again, which you will," he joked, "let me know and I can get it done for you." He offered, looking at the chair then back at Cass, ready to go get something to eat. "You ready?"

Cass put her hands behind her back, knowing he knew her a little too well, but something blossomed in her chest at the thought. "Don't worry, I have plenty of help from my team." She pointed out, but smiled as she passed him, heading back into her office. "I just need to grab my purse." She said, opening the coffin locker to the right of her desk and grabbed her purse. She glanced at her desk, flushing with heat at the thought of christening the new desk with Leo like her old desk, and forced her herself to turn away and head back out, locking the door behind her, hoping her face wasn't bright red.

"You did last time too," Leo said after her with a chuckle, part of him hoping that she still would come to him, he liked being useful. He waited for Cass to come back from getting her purse, choosing to walk around the room and look at the artwork. As he looked at it all he felt the itch for a new tattoo but didn't know where he'd have it placed.

Cass shook her head, knowing he had said she could call on him for anything before, but didn't want to take him seriously since he was a client. A client she started sleeping with of course. The last part wasn't planned, since the first time had been after she'd tattooed her first piece on him. "I hope you know a few good places around here." She asked, having lived off the Hotel breakfast, and snack bar for some of her meals, and doordash for the rest, using mostly fast food.

Leo looked back at Cass with a chuckle, "I do, lucky you." He joked, "there's a really good diner down the road if you're feeling that." He offered, having gone there enough times that he was sure the waitress was going to know him by name any time now. "But there's also Chinese place and barbeque."

Cassandra locked up her office and headed for the front door, turning off the lights as she went. "Chinese will do." She wasn't sure she could stomach barbeque, she had vomited the other day after eating it. Apparently the baby didn't want ribs. She locked the front door of her new shop after letting Leo out, "As long as their fried rice is amazing of course." She smiled a little sheepishly, wondering if he'd remember that time they'd finished a tattoo of his, ordered Chinese, and then celebrated on her tattoo chair.

Leo waited for her to lock up and chuckled, "their fried rice is great, I wouldn't have suggested it if it wasn't." He teased, his thoughts mirroring hers with the tattoo chair celebration, his heart thumbing a little in chest...and dick but he willed himself to calm down. Cass was pregnant and it was clear she had to uproot her whole life because of him. A bit of guilt nestled itself inside of him, "are you okay with walking? It's not that far." If not he'd hurry back to get his truck from where he'd left it back at one of the bigger parking lots, not liking to park on the side of the road.

Cassandra raised her eyebrow at him when he asked about walking. "You know me, lived life walking before I found my bike." She smiled, though a feeling of sadness washed through her. She didn't have a car growing up, her and her mother had walked everywhere, and taken the bus. Then sadly she was reminded how she'd have to give the bike for a while, with a baby on the way. She'd ride for as long as she could, but since she was living at the hotel right across from the shop, she didn't see the point in driving it over, and saved the rides for after.

Leo nodded, biting back the instinct to want to put his arm around her, unable to deny himself for wanting to protect her and have her against himself. "Yeah, I know," he chuckled, "I just wanted to make sure." It was different now that she had their little one and he dreaded anything happening. He did, however, stand on the side of the sidewalk next to the road as they walked to the Chinese place, opening the door for her when they arrived.

Cassandra couldn't stop the smile from growing on her face, a little warm feeling blossoming in her chest. She didn't want to make too much about him being nice though, in case it was just that, him being nice because she was carrying his child. "So, how many houses are you working on?" She asked, knowing he always had several projects at the same time.

"A lot, it feels like it's never ending." Leo chuckled and followed the waitress to their table, pulling out Cass's chair for her. "But there's plans for at least 30 houses and we're just getting started on the first five, so it's gonna be a while." He said with a little bit of worry, "I hope Beck didn't bite off more than he could chew."

Cass took a seat and felt nostalgia flush through her, remembering the first time he'd taken her out after her last shop opened. It was their favorite Chinese place, a the nostalgia feeling turning a little warm, "So, how long would you say then, like more than nine months?" She asked, glad she had started immediately on the shop rather than wait and find out. Beck often did that, and Leo would be gone for years, but always visited. Always came back and made time for her. She was being serious about the question, but a smirk set on her lips knowing it was just a joke too, just wanting to make sure he really was in this for the long haul.

Leo rolled his eyes but smiled, "you're gonna be stuck with me a lot longer than that." He told her, at least eighteen years but he'd be hoping for more if things worked out...he adored Cass, they had always seemed to click but in his mind she was always too good for him outside of hook ups. "But this development deal is going to keep me here for a while."

Cassandra didn't want to give away the feeling she felt when he said he was going to be around longer than that, and she couldn't help but eye him, though she was smiling. "Well, I'm glad. I hoped you'd want to raise your child too." She didn't want to think about maybe making it a real deal family, and falling for him. She nodded her head when he said it as a big deal with the development, and that meant years of work. "Would you want to stay and settle down here?" Or was he the type that would want to move, settle down somewhere else, she wasn't sure what she wanted either, though she was comfortable with moving."

"I want to be in every part of our child's life." Leo said as he looked up at Cass, he never wanted to be a dead beat dad. Granted he never thought he'd be one but now there was no way he was just going to be passive and act like there wasn't a life out there that he'd helped create. "Um," Leo paused, thinking there was a lot to consider in this, "I guess it just depends on how things go, this down isnt that bad so far."

Cassandra sighed, though kept the reminder that her dad had tried for years before leaving her and her mom. She wasn't sure if it was her mother drinking, or having her as a child that sent him running, but it happened. She nodded her head as she looked over the menu, finding the fried rice options immediately. "So far it's not bad, I haven't seen much of it though. Shockingly." She chuckled, knowing she'd have to get out there and know the place a little better once the shop opened, but she wasn't sure that would happen even after it did.

Leo looked at Cass, wondering if he had somehow made her upset and sigh. He wasn't going to say anything about it though, not wanting to further upset her so he looked at his menu. "Well maybe we can take some time to explore together?" He offered her, feeling like that was something natural for them to do, it was platonic but also offered the chance for them to kind of get to know each other again and plan for the future.

Cass tilted her head at his suggestion, figuring it might be good since they'd have to find places for the baby, like toys, clothes, furniture. Her eyes drifted up from the menu to him, "Alright, I can get behind that." She smiled as the waiter came around and she ordered water, veggie spring rolls, and of course, her friend rice. "If this isn't the best fried rice, we are going to have problems." She teased.

"Okay, we can plan on it after you get settled in." Leo smiled a little before looking at his menu, still trying , to wrap his head around the fact that they'd be living together with a baby on the way. It might be crowded but they could make it work he figured. Leo gave his order to the waiter asking for a soda instead of his typical beer, figuring that was the polite then to do, and crab rangoons along with sweet and sour chicken and fried prawns with fried rice. He chuckled at her teasing, shaking his head, "maybe I should go sit somewhere safe then, just in case." he joked.

Cass sighed heavily at the thought of moving. "I hate moving," She grimaced, though this felt different since she was moving for a better life for her child, instead of moving her child around for herself. "But it shouldn't take long, though I'll need to go back to Montana for the rest of my things." She had a storage unit with things she wouldn't need immediately. She chuckled when he said he should change tables. "Rude, leaving me and your unborn child at a table alone." She teased, though she had to swallow the lump in her throat at the thought of it actually happening, just like it happened to her growing up.

"I don't know if there's anyone who likes it, except maybe Beck." Leo chuckled, but Beck had basically built himself a nomadic life style, claiming all that he needed could fit into his back pack and the saddle bags on his bike while he went from rental to rental in whatever town became his project. Leo nodded, sipping his drink while she talked about Montana, "I can help, it should be too hard to fly out and rent a truck to get it all down here." He said thoughtfully, figuring he could take the time off work. He paused for a moment from her teasing but smiled, lightly tapping his foot against hers. "I won't leave, unless you throw your cup at me, then I don't think I can stay." He chuckled.

"That makes a lot of sense." Cass could see how Leo's brother liked moving around a lot, Macy had told him they slept together, but she also knew he always found a girl to fool around with in every town. She couldn't help but think about what else needed to be done while back in Montana, but she didn't want to scare him off the first night after telling him the news. "The only thing I'll throw is some fried rice." She teased, happy when the waiter brought over their appetizers, digging into the veggie spring rolls immediately.

Leo nodded, wondering if his brother would ever settle down but it seemed like a long shot, besides, it would take someone really special to make him calm down. At least that's what he thought. "Well if you're gonna throw your rice at me at least make sure it lands in my mouth." He joked before digging into his rangoons.

"Hmmmmm, I'll think about it, though I can't promise my aim is that good," Cass teased, knowing she wasn't that bad of a shot, years of tossing her ruined sketches into the waste basket when she first started working on her tattoo art. She couldn't help but instantly search his skin for the pieces she had done, the pieces she had covered up, though she did admire the other artists who had used his body for a canvas, she couldn't help but feel proud when she found her first tattoo. The flower pattern on his hands always caught her attention, her mind flashing back to her holding them while she worked. "I still can't believe you let a newbie tattoo your hands." She smirked, her eyes roaming up his arm, spotting her own work amongst several others, her eyes skipping over his shirt to his neck, then finally his face.

Leo chuckled, "uh huh, just don't get us banned from here, it's my favorite place." He said then looked at his hands, flexing his fingers slightly. "I know," he chuckled, "but you had some good work for a newbie and I haven't regretted any of it."

Cass watched him flex his fingers, wondering if it had been painful for him or not. She hoped she did a good job, he kept coming back, so she sort of assumed she was decent enough. She felt her chest swell a little when he said he didn't regret any of the tattoo's she had given him over the years. "Glad to know you like what you paid for." She joked, though if you felt like you got your money's worth that was a good thing too.

Leo laughed, "I definitely did." And then some, he remembered all those late nights and sneak away sessions they'd had that ultimately resulted in their future bundle of joy. The thought made him smile as he once again thought about being a father, hoping he'd be as good as his own but there'd definitely be things he'd do differently. "You know, I still have some blank spaces that need to be filled in, believe it or not." He joked.

Cass raised an eyebrow, feeling her chest tighten, her nipples grow hard, making her feel like he meant it a certain way. The same way she hopefully thought about it. She saw his smile, and returned it, hoping it was all good thoughts going through his mind. Now she raised both eyebrows when he said he had open space, "Where, your face?" She laughed, feeling her face flush a little at the knowledge that she did know every inch of his body.
