I'm feeling lonely
Oh, I wish I'd find a lover that could hold me
Now, I'm crying in my room

So skeptical of love
But still, I want it more, more, more
Stubborn- She can be hard headed and has a skill in blocking out things she doesn't want to hear. She will pretend the things bother her don't exist and this stubborn way of ignoring her problems has gotten her into trouble. It takes a lot for her to change her mind once it is set but after a life altering event she has become more aware of her stubborn nature and is trying to change her ways so that history doesn't repeat itself.
Reserved- She is relatively quiet and this part of her has made people think she can be pushed around and to an extent she can be. She likes to avoid conflict and finds that being quiet helps with this. She likes to be more of a side character so that she can observe and adjust her own course to avoid things she may not like. Her ability to stay quiet also leads to her keeping her problems to herself rather than looking for help or others opinions.
Self Conscious- Leda is extremely conscious of her looks and actions and how they make others think of her. She second guesses herself and her worth because of it. She often feels she isn't good enough for others and often shrinks in on herself and spends a lot of time in front of the mirror to get her make up, hair, and outfit right so that she can try to get some confidence. She strives to make sure that no one sees her without a full face of make up and always puts up a happy go lucky mask when around others. The one thing that gives her confidence is that she does well at her job and enjoys seeing her school thrive. The persona she puts on at work is more business like than the persona she has in her day to day life.
Well Meaning- Though it can be seen as enabling, Leda does her best to help others and make them feel better. She is a people pleasure and finds a lot of joy in bringing others happiness and easing their lives for them. If someone were to ask her to get up in the middle of the night and bring them something to eat, she would, because she wouldn't want them to go hungry even if it hurts herself or indulges them in their bad habits.
I gave a second chance to Cupid
But now, I'm left here feeling stupid
Oh, the way he makes me feel
That love isn't real, Cupid is so dumb

I look for his arrows every day
I guess he got lost or flew away
Waiting around is a waste
Been counting the days since November
Is loving as good as they say?
Even though her parents had planned on having a large family they thought they were done after Beck, but to their surprise they ended up with a positive pregnancy test and soon welcomed their third daughter Aleah to the world. She was their princess, their sweet little girl who could do no wrong. She as a fairly quiet girl, often taking a step back and watching her brothers that she lived with run wild. She found them amazing and some days she would run and play with them, getting covered in mud much to their mothers dismay and working on the farm. With her family she often watched their interactions, only joining in when they were positive, which was more often than most thankfully. Seeing her older siblings made her think of herself in a more adult mindset, wondering what she would do with her life. She was very logical in her longer years and once she entered high school she was known as the little sister of the "Lasse Boys" she was expected to be as wild as them, but she surprised them, rarely speaking out in class and not joining any clubs. She was a wallflower, she had a small group of friends and long distant crushes on boys, never able to get up the nerve to talk to a boy or try to flirt but something happened in the summer between her junior and senior years of high school. She seemed to grow into her looks, her sisters taught her how to put on make up, keep her hair from frizzing, and how to dress in more than just jeans and a sweatshirt. These changes lead to attention being brought onto her that both terrified and excited Aleah. She got caught up in being pulled into the popular crowd, she tried to keep in touch with her friends but as time went on it got harder as they were pulled into different directions.
Even though Aleah did miss her friends she indulged herself in her senior year, sneaking off to parties and meeting up with cute boys with her new found confidence. She had to admit that she loved it and her parents didn't discourage her from coming out of her shell, but, then again they didn't know how wild their little princess was getting and neither did her brothers, except for Beck. Though Beck just looked the other way, fully involved in his own partying habits. These habits followed Aleah into her college years where she met and fell in love with a boy named Clay who, wasn't like anyone else she had ever met.
Aleah had fallen hard and fast for Clay, she couldn't help it. Everything between them felt so natural and like it was meant to be. They would spend late nights studying, watching movies, cuddling, all the romantic things that seemed to happen only in movies and she felt like she was in heaven. After living in the dorms the two had moved in together and spent almost all their time with each other. Aleah was cozy and comfortable, gushing to her friends and Mom about how wonderful Clay was, looking forward to the day she could introduce them. It was scary, she thought, having to let him meet all of her brothers at once but knew it had to happen and thankfully, Clay seemed to blend right in with her Viking like siblings who embraced him fully. Seeing how he fit in with her family made her heart fill with warmth and just like her life really was a movie they were all there on Christmas when Clay got down on one knee and proposed. Aleah was thrilled, obviously saying yes and threw herself into planning the fairy tale wedding of her dreams. She wanted to be married in a year and once she was stable in her job she was sure they would start their own family. She was steadfast and excited, pushing through her classes in hopes of meeting her goals and Clay was there cheering her on but she didn't notice the little details or how he started to stay later at work and his phone was always face down with a passcode she didn't know, but she didn't let it bother her. There was no way her fiance was doing anything fishy.
On the day of the wedding Aleah was absolutely glowing while her Mom, sisters, and a few friends helped her get ready in the dress that had made her feel like a princess. Everything was perfect as she walked down the stairs from her bridal suite, ready to meet her man at the altar and exchange their vows but as the time drew nearer she started to notice whispers and worried looks between her guests and family. She tried not to overthink it, this was going to be her special day, a day where nothing could go wrong but when she snuck a peek at where her future husband was supposed to be waiting her heart grew cold when she saw his spot was empty. She told herself everything was going to be okay...until her big brother Charlie brought her a note that, when reading it, brought Aleah to her knees as she started to sob. Her sisters rushed her away from prying eyes but the damage was done. Guest got up and started to leave, not needing to be at a wedding that would never happen.
