“As long as we are behind the fence when we greet one,” Jessie smiled, thinking she didn’t want to test how fast she was, because she knew she wouldn’t make it. She would blame her boots, but she would never wear anything else on her feet. “Are there rodeo clowns?” She asked, thinking about how they were funnier than regular clowns hands down, and actually had an important job. “Well, I can’t wait to see it all.” She wasn’t sure how she was going to get there, but she’d figure it out.

"You don't have to worry if I'm there." Jake chuckled, seeing there not being a reason for her to be around a bull that wasn't behind a fence line. "There's always rodeo clows, I'm surprised my brother hasn't become one yet." He joked, Reed was a character and often ran around as if he was some kind of clown so he didn't see that as much of a stretch. He flashed Jessie a smile, glad that she was willing to go to the rodeo. "It'll be fun."

Jessie felt her cheeks flush just a little, wondering if she should care that much if he as there, but in their short time, she did. “I love rodeo clowns, they’re actually funny.” She chuckled lightly, hearing her phone ring from an alarm. “Oh shit, is it really four? I’ve got to run.” She’d forgotten she was planning to meet with Cordelia for dinner, but that was why she put an alarm on in case she got distracted with her book.

"They definitely can be." Jake smiled, looking ahead once against but then her alarm caught him off guard, almost making him stumble but he caught himself, glancing over at her. "Oh, alright, I guess I'll see you around then." He half smiled, wondering if she'd really stick to her end of the bargain.

Jessie looked over her shoulder and waved, “It was nice meeting you Jake!” even if he didn’t text her, or acknowledge her after this, at least he was nice once. She headed down the street to the bus stop, the real reason she had to leave to get back to school. She didn’t have a car anymore, it being confiscated and then she had to sell it. Once she found a seat on the bus, she pulled out her phone and started researching bus routes to places that held rodeos nearby.

Jake smiled softly, reaching up and waving back to Jessie. "It was nice to meet you too!" He called after her, unsure what he was going to do now that Jessie was out of sight but he knew he wouldn't be returning to that school gathering. He could probably head out to the barn and go out for a ride. With that thought in mind he turned and headed back to the school.
