"Oh, that hurt." Reed laughed as he closed her door once she was out, "you're gonna have to do better than that if you want to hurt my feelings blondie." He told her, taking a few steps back so she could take the lead to go into the mall.

Shannon twisted hr mouth to prevent herself from smiling, turning it instead into a smirk, “You can just, stay in the car you know. In fact, just go back to the dorms.” She gave him a quick smile as she headed for the doors closet to her, knowing the first store she’d visit on this side of the mall. She didn’t want Reed as a distraction, with his stupid smile, his stupid jokes, and his stupid manners. It would be better if he just went back to the dorms, she could find her way back on her own.

"But then you won't have a way to get back." Reed replied, perking up a little when he saw her smile and followed after her. As the doors got closer her stepped ahead and opened one for her. "I said I was gonna come along with you so I'm coming along." He added.

“I’d figure it out,” Despite what one might thing, Shannon wasn’t just another dumb blonde. She glared at him when raced ahead to get the door, “Alright,” She started to say, stepping through the door, though she stopped and turned to face him. “I know you don’t want to disappoint your momma, but I won’t tell her if you stop doing that.” It freaked her out a little bit. Some of the boys her mom had put her up with did that, acted like that, though they only wanted one thing. She stared at him for a heartbeat before turning towards one of her favorite stores, instantly walking over to a rack with a few sweaters on it. She appeared to be inspecting the clothes before her, but she was too busy in her head, trying to calm her heart down.

"I'm sure you would but I made a promise." Reed said, returning her glare with a grin but paused when she talked to him about his mom, his brow furrowing. He followed after her, standing at the end of the sweater rack as he looked at her. "Even then I'm pretty sure my mom would know if I wasn't using my manners and I wouldn't dare test her wrath." He said with a shudder.

Shannon stopped on a black sweater, one that would hug her curves and she could wear it with her insulated leggings she had ordered. She already had several scarves in mind she wanted to find, and she grabbed it before quickly moving on from Reed, wondering if he would follow or just wait around. This rack had long sleeve shirts with a low-cut neckline. She by passed several colors, pushing a red one for a white one next to it.

Reed continued to wait, following her along to the next rack, for once surprisingly quiet. He glanced at a couple of sweaters but continued to lean against this new rack, taking the weight off of his bad side as he glanced at a couple of the shirts, reaching out and sliding the red one back over to her.

Shannon watched as he slid the red sweater back towards her, as he was going to tell her what to wear. The motion had a different effect on her body than her mind did though, her stomach dropped slightly, and her chest felt funny. She wanted to take the red one, for some strange reason she knew it would make him happy. Denying him felt more like torture to her though, and she pushed it back before grabbing the white one instead. “Find another girl to dress.” She challenged him, though she wanted to be that challenge, let him try and see what pieces she’d approve worthy that he picked for her. Shit, she realized this might be more fun than shopping with her friends.

Reed raised an eyebrow but he knew he should have been expecting that kind of response. "Yeah but I don't think that one would be as fun as you," he teased, pushing the sweater back towards her but then winked. "I just thought you'd look good in red, especially since you already have a white sweater." He pointed out, gesturing at her current outfit.

“Red isn’t usually in my lineup,” Shannon told him, having worn red for specific events, like Christmas or Valentines Day. She pushed the shirt back and turned to face him, “How the hell is fighting me fun?” She asked before moving onto another rack, this one held skirts and pants. She pulled on a pair of dark wash jeans, not sure of the quality of them from this store, but she liked the stitching on the pockets.

"Well that's unfortunate, it really high lights the bloodlust in your eyes." He joked, glancing at the left behind sweater as he followed her to the next rack, wondering if she was actually going to buy all that much that he would have to carry. "It just is," he shrugged, not sure how to explain it but it made him feel a few sparks of life that he hadn't had in quite a while, "you shoot shit back at me and it makes it fun."

Shannon rolled her eyes, “Ha-ha-ha, very funny, you make me want to die.” She said sarcastically, part of her smirking, part of her wanting to punch him. Why were boys so stupid sometimes? She pulled the jeans into her pile on her arm as she moved on, finding more shirts in a variety of colors, wondering if he’d shove another color at her again. “What if I don’t find it fun?” she asked, though the only thing she didn’t find fun about this moment, as that it was him, and even that was starting to not be such a bad thing.

"I know, I'm pretty hilarious." Reed replied, ignoring her comment about dying as he followed along with her, now starting to wonder where she was going to fit all this stuff in her closet, but then again that wasn't going to be his issue unless he suckered himself into something. "If you didn't find it fun you could have called the police already." He shrugged.

“The police wouldn’t do anything, technically you aren’t doing anything illegal,” Other than harassing her, but he wasn’t harming her in any way, just annoying her. She found a pink top and pulled it off the rack, turning it over and back again, trying to distract herself from Reed, but she was wondering if he’d try another suggestion on the clothes.

"Ah see, well, I figured you woulda ran away at least but here we are." Reed replied, feeling rather chipper. He watched as Shannon looked at the shirt as if she couldn't make a decision and smirked, reaching out and grabbing it. "I think this would look better on me." He teased.

“I don’t think you understand, running means sweating, and sweating is gross,” Shannon only ran when she was exercising. There was nothing she thought was worth it to run, especially in heels, though she was wearing a small heel this time, she still wouldn’t run. She raised an eyebrow and shrugged, “Suit yourself, go try it on.” She nodded towards the dressing rooms were on one side of the store, taking this chance to walk over to another rack, picking up a dress that had caught her eye.

Reed chuckled, shaking his head. Sweating was kind of gross but it was also part of life, but he wasn't too surprised at her stance on it. He looked from her to the fitting rooms and back, a smirk crossing his face. "Only if you're trying something on too, I'm not about to get ditched while changing shirts." He said as he followed, the shirt still in his hand.

Shannon gave him a ‘Well duh’ look as she held up the arm of clothes in her arms. “Part of shopping for me is to make sure it fits.” She was really bad at returning things, but she did donate easily, it was just simple to drop it off at one of those stations then it was to take it back to the store. “But ditching you sounds like a nice plan.” She said, placing the dress in her hands as she picked up another one, red this time.

Reed looked back at her with an innocent, deer in head lights look, "really? Here I was thinking that everything magically fit perfect." He joked, looking down at her rather impressive stack of clothes. "Which is why I'm willing to wait until you're changing to try it on." He pointed out, holding back a smile as he spotted the red dress she pulled.

Shannon smirked because she wished she could just have everything she grabbed fit, “Unfortunately, we don’t live in a perfect world,” She stated, quickly adding a lacy pick dress that wouldn’t keep her warm, but it was cute. “If we did live in a perfect world, you wouldn’t be here.” She added before doing a sweep of the store before heading to the corner with the dressing rooms.

"Ain't that the truth." Reed said under his breath but then paused, glaring at her. "Hey, I'm an angel thank you very much." He shot back at her as he followed her to the dressing rooms.

Shannon shrugged, “So far the time I’ve spent with you have proved otherwise.” She informed him as she noticed there wasn’t an attendant in the fitting rooms, and walked right in, picking the biggest fitting room it had. “Good luck trying that on.” She said before closing the door to the room and locking it. She didn't try anything on right away, standing there with the realization that there wasn't a mirror in this room, the spot where it should have been, was empty. She frowned, putting down the things she picked and first tried on the pants and sweater, finding they fit alright, but wanted a mirror. She eyed the door, knowing there was a little area with several mirrors for her to view, and so would Reed.

"Wow," Reed gasped, looking at her as if his heart had truly broken, "I am hurt." He said, looking around the fitting rooms as he debated on whether he really wanted to try on this ridiculous shirt or not but figured if he didn't she'd just think he was all talk. He looked at the door of her room, tilting his head, "ah, looks like you're gonna miss out on my putting on this sick shirt." He said as he stepped into an empty room. He pulled off his sweatshirt and shirt and pulled in the one he had grabbed, shaking his head at himself in the mirror at how ridiculous he looked. "Yeah, definitely missing out there."

The entire time Shannon was debating on leaving the dressing room, Reed hadn’t shut up. She forced herself to keep a thin lip, trying not to imagine what he’d look like in the shit, knowing it was probably way too tight on him. “Oh well, guess I’ll miss out.” She sighed, as if she wasn’t trying to laugh. After composing herself, she opened the door and stepped out, not hesitating to walk out to the mirrors to look at her outfit. The jeans were perfect, hugged her calves, thighs, and butt perfectly, and the sweater was cute, but had its flaws. She would get it anyways since it was pretty warm.

Reed was about to pull off the shirt when he got an idea, a grin crossing his face as he listened for Shannon, she'd have to come out at some point. "It really is too bad you can't see it, it really high lights my abs." He joked, the shirt really fitting him more like a crop top and was stretched across his skin, showing some of his scars that he hoped weren't too noticeable. He perked up a little when he heard her door open, waiting a second before opening his and stepping out, putting his hands on his hips as he looked at himself in the mirror next to hers. "You know, I think this really brings out my eyes."

Shannon ignored Reed, wondering if he’d ever stop talking at some point, glad she wasn’t trying to read. She moved in front of the mirror trying to get all angles of the outfit she had on, moving her hair, posing, finding it worthy of purchasing. Just as she was about to turn around and head back into her dressing room, Reed stepped out. Her mouth dropped open, her eyes roamed his body, catching sight of his abs obviously, and some random lines that looked like scars, but she didn’t know what caused them. “Perfectly, wear that the next time you’re a clown for the rodeo.” She threw her head back and laughed as she passed by him for her dressing room, ready to try something else on, not caring that he was there anymore. She would have that image plastered in her mind forever. “Even better.” She chuckled as she moved quickly to grab her phone from the seat inside the dressing room and aimed the camera at him. “Say Cheese!” she clicked the camera as he turned around to face her, some revenge for her stuck in the window picture.

Reed wasn't blind to the way she looked at him, a smirk crossing his face, "I would be a great rodeo clown, thank you, but I'm too busy winning to do that." He told her, his smirk turning it a grin, liking to hear her laugh, even if it was at his own expense but it wasn't like she actually hurt his feelings. He was about to head into the dressing room when she pulled out her phone and told him to say cheese except he didn't care. He flashed her a peace sign for the picture before finally going into the fitting room and changing back into his regular shirt. He grimaced a little at the way he had stretched put the other shirt but left it hanging in the room, going and sitting in one of he chairs outside the fitting rooms.

Shannon closed the door and changed a few options before landing on the dresses. She went with the pink option first, her favorite color of course. As she walked out of the dressing room, she already knew what pair of shoes she’d pair with it, and as she stood in front of the mirrors, she already had the purse in mind too. It was the perfect outfit, she couldn’t help but touch the hem, twirl from side to side to feel the way the dress moved on her. It was already purchased according to her, and no one could convince her otherwise.

Reed patiently waited for her to come out, glancing at his phone, opening up one of his mindless games until she came out of the door. His eyebrows rose and he couldn't help but smile a bit, the expression genuine. "Wow, I'm sure you already know but you look good."

Shannon stood a little straighter, her chin tilting up a little more when Reed complimented her, “I know, pink’s pretty much been my color.” Though she loved wearing black or blue, something that made her eyes pop, and brown boots were the love of her life. “One more dress and we can hit the next store.” She informed as she headed back to the dressing room, wondering if he understood it would be hours of this. She did like having someone tell her how good she looked and mean it. She placed the pink dress in the buy pile before turning towards the red dress. It wasn’t her usual color of choice, maybe a few accent pieces like shoes, purses, or even her lips. She felt like somehow this was his fault as she slipped on the dress and had to hold her breath for a moment. The fabric and the cut were perfect, something she would wear on a date, but she hated the idea that it would be wasted on a fuck boi this weekend. She stepped into the hallway, not as excited as she had been to see the completed outfit, but she stood in front of the mirror anyways to inspect. “What a waste.” She whispered to herself.
