"That's what you think." Reed replied with a laugh but he let go of the dress and tossed it over her shoulder. "But go ahead and catch a cold Princess." He said with a wave of his hand as he started back down the trail.

Shannon rolled her eyes dramatically, shivering the second he let go of her. “Stop calling me that.” She hated nicknames, her mother using them to sweeten her up only to cause the world to crash around her. She picked up her shoes and went after her dress, which she slipped on, feelign only slightly warmer. She didn't put on her shoes, not seeing the point in putting them on when she'd probably just trip in them.

"Naw, it's too fitting not to call you that." Reed said over his shoulder to her, plus he liked to see her reaction but he wasn't going to say anything since it would probably prompt her to embrace it or something. "Be careful and don't trip over any rocks on your way down, there's some sharp ones." He added.

Shannon grumbled to herself, knowing it wouldn’t matter if she didn’t say anything about it either, since ignoring her mother still prompted the nicknames. “No need to be nice to me.” She would rather him be mean, it was easier to hate him for it, even if she carefully picked her way through the path, making sure not to step on said rocks.

"'Fraid not," Reed replied, surprised she was even still talking to him in the first place, "my momma raised me better if I she found out I was being mean she'd come right up here and beat my ass." It was an exaggeration but he could picture his mom hopping on the plane the second she found out he was being less than polite.

“Guess I’ll have to call your mother then,” Shannon teased, not planning to do such a thing. She wasn’t a nark and would hope no one would dare call her mother about what she was up to. She saw the light to her cabin as on and groaned, wondering if that meant Kinley as back and would talk nonstop about her ‘awesome’ sex life or trashley was there with the other chick who roomed with them, whatever her name was. “Definitely showering.” She muttered mostly to herself.

"You do that and she's gonna assume that I got myself a girl." Reed chuckled, "then she'll talk your ear off for ages and insist you come down for dinner so you gotta think if it's really worth it." Once the cabins came into view he made to turn to head to his, figuring he could try to sleep after that minor heart attack but glanced back at her over his shoulder. "Probably should, unless you want to smell like lake water."

Shannon mulled over the idea in her head, knowing she could probably pretend to be a counselor at the camp or maybe a teacher, but figured she didn’t want all the questions. The thought of being asking to come for dinner, wherever he was from, didn’t appeal to her. His mother wouldn’t approve of her anyways. She rolled her eyes when he said she’d smell like lake water, “Better than smelling like you.” She smirked, knowing it wasn’t the best insult, but she was too tired to try harder.

Reed turned to her, feigning a look of shock with a hand pressed to his chest, "now I'm a little hurt but honestly this just makes me think that somethings wrong with your sense of smell because I know I smell good." He told her, his look of shock turning into a grin.

Shannon shrugged her shoulders, smirking, “You’re probably right,” She agreed, feeling like there was something wrong with her, but that was something for a therapist to go over one day, if she even did that. “Something’s definitely wrong with me.” She laughed before heading directly for her cabin.

Reed smirked, "ah, I'll make sure to remember that on this day you said I was right." He joked, looking after her as she started to head for one of the cabins and assumed it was hers. He tilted his head slightly, "everyone has something wrong with them, but some things are easier to hide than others."

Shannon just kept walking, feeling like everything was wrong with her, but she had accepted it long ago. She was just planning to live her life with or without anyone in it. She waved a peace sign over her head for him to see, as her way of saying night before she stepped up to her cabin, disappearing through the door.

To say Reed was surprised that she didn't flip him off was a bit of understatement, so much so that for a second he thought that he was getting into her good graces centimeter by centimeter but then he remembered that she had been drunk and doubted he would ever get a peace sign again. He watched her until she was in the cabin before heading back into his own.
