Audrey hated camp. She hated the mosquitos, having mud instead of sand like a beach, hated some of the more outgoing counselors that tried hard to get you into the whole camping scene. There were some good things about it though, she liked hanging out with Tahlia, it made it easy to watch over Victoria with little effort, and some of the kids were cool to chill with. It was also very easy to sneak into town for some real fun, which she had done the night before last… And last night. She groaned as she stepped out of the cabin, into the heat, and put her sunglasses on, knowing it’ll be worth it if Tyson came out for some fun. She looked around, wondering where she might find the guy to start the fun day of camp, per Tyson.

Tyson was loving camp, his brother was behaving which meant he was free to do whatever he wanted. He got up early and got to explore without being hounded and he got to do some canoeing and other things he hadn't done in ages where he didn't exactly strive to be perfect, which was how he ended up with a sadly woven and beaded gecko keychain that hung off one of the zippers of his backpack that he wore as he headed towards Audrey's cabin, remembering where it had been from the other night, the memory of what she had said making his face still burn a little. He pulled on the straps of his backpack until the cabin-and Audrey came into view. He smiled a little and walked over to her, "you're alive."

Audrey groaned slightly at how chipper he was being so early in the morning, even if it wasn’t that early. “Unfortunate for you, I am.” She smiled as she looked him up and down, her smile curling up a little higher. “Please don’t tell me your shirt means we are hiking a mountain.” She joked, though if that was really what he was planning, she was going to call it quits there and try another way to get him to the club.

Tyson couldn't help but laugh at her reaction, tucking his hands into his pockets. "Not a mountain, that would be ridiculous for a first timer." He joked, "besides, my mom got me this shirt and I thought it was funny." He told her, looking down at his shirt before looking back at her. "Are you ready to go?"

“How sweet, but I am glad it’s not a mountain we are conquering today,” Audrey chuckled lightly, knowing she’d rather die than try that. She sighed softly and nodded her head, “As ready as I’ll ever be.” Though that was kind of a lie, she could have not gone out last night, and gotten a good nights rest, but she wasn’t about to let that stop her today.

Tyson tilted his head as he looked at her, "alright, there's no turning back now." He flashed her a smile as he straightened his back pack and turned, heading down a path through the camp that took them around the lake. "So, did you actually rest or did you sneak out last night?" He asked, having a feeling it would be the later just by a hunch.

Audrey watched his lips curl into a smile, “You have a cute smile.” She giggled as she fell into step next to him on the path, eyeing him from the side, though it stopped on his backpack, and she couldn’t help but wonder if she should have packed something. She turned her attention to the path before them, but her lips curled into a smirk. “Let’s just say I had fun last night.” She wouldn’t get into the dirty details, but it was definitely a good time.

Tyson almost tripped over his feet when she said his smile was cute, without school to occupy his thoughts girls flirtations reached his ears and he wasn't sure how he was supposed to respond. "Oh, uh, thanks." He said awkwardly, trying to focus on not falling and looking like an idiot. At the mention of her having fun last night he thought about endless dancing and hook ups and he wondered why she was even bothering with him. "Well, at least you were able to wake up on time." He joked. "If you need any water or anything I have it in my bag."

Audrey raised an eyebrow, wondering if he’d never been complimented before, and bet he didn’t really observe girls much, too absorbed in his studies. “Oh, easy to do. My body can wake up after just three hours of sleep if I need to.” She shrugged her shoulders, not seeing a problem with this when she’d take a nap later on. “Thank you, I was wondering if I should have brought my own stuff.” She felt a twinge of guilt that he had to basically take of her, and a touch of stupidity that she hadn’t thought about it herself.

"Three hours of sleep?" Tyson repeated, shaking his head, if he tried that he'd probably pass out in the middle of class or whatever he was doing. "I don't think I'd be able to survive off of that." He told her, back when his dad had left it had been hard for him to sleep in those following weeks, which had made him irritable and act terrible during the time, which made him still feel guilty. "Don't worry, I packed enough for the both of us." He told her as they followed the trail, which was starting to incline slightly.

“Eh, it’s fine. I’ll probably pass out when we get back,” Though Audrey would probably only sleep for another three hours, get ready and go out to party again. She wasn’t going to tell Tyson that, feeling like he’d judge her for it. “Good to know you’ll be prepared for a day out like this,” She chuckled, walking next to him down the trail he led, instantly hating the incline, but didn’t complain, “And don’t worry, I’ll take good care of you at the club.” She smirked, still planning to see this through.

"Well as long as you pass out after the bonfire." He told her, hoping she wasn't going to end up that tired after what he had planned today. He pulled on the straps of his backpack, running his thumbs along the fabric, "I like to be prepared," he told her, he was probably over prepared but you never knew what you'd need should something happen. At the mention of the club he frowned a little bit, still not looking forward to it but he did make a promise. "Why do I have the feeling that you're going to get me into trouble?" He teased.

Audrey didn’t know how late the bonfire would go, but even if she left camp later, that wasn’t that big of a deal. “Are you going to make me a smore?” She asked, wondering if it was like the bonfires they did back home in Myrtle Beach, where they drank, danced, made out, but mostly gossiped about one another. She was sure there was no drinking, but maybe everything else happened. She gave him an innocent smile, “It’s possible, I am a troublemaker, but I won’t let them charge you with anything.” She teased, though she would do everything in her power to get herself in trouble and no one else.

"If you play your cards right." Tyson replied as he walked, glancing back over at her, "right...that sounds more ominous than comforting." He teased her back before focusing on the trail, turning off on another path but soon came to a down tree. He easily climbed over it and held out his hand to Audrey to help her over it.

“Hmmm, it’s a good thing I’m good at Poker,” Audrey teased, though she wasn’t really that great at the game, she was decent enough to win a few rounds. She stopped at the tree blocking their path and her eyes followed its trunk to where it once stood tall. “Do you think it fell because of a storm?” she asked, accepting his hand, and stepped over it.

Tyson rolled his eyes with a chuckle, of course she'd say something like that. "Uh huh, of course you are." He teased back as he helped her, "more than likely but I'm not really into forestry so who knows." He shrugged and continued to walk, looking up at a few birds that were darting between the trees and spotted a squirrel sitting up on a branch and staring in their direction.

“Hey, helps when your dad has regular poker nights very few weeks.” It was more like every few days Audrey’s dad would entertain clients, employees, and friends by inviting them over for dinner, and then play. She hated the first part of those nights, having to sit stiffly, smile constantly, and pretend like she didn’t want to be anywhere else. She brushed her hands over her shorts as she continued, “So, how long have you been attending Mountain Ridge?” She wanted to know what to expect, if he had already been going, then he could at least give her an idea of what she was dealing with.

At the mention of her Dad Tyson thought briefly of his, how one day he had seemed so great, like the best man in the world when the next moment he was just gone...and proving the opposite. It sent a tight squeeze around his throat that he tried to ignore. "Oh," he coughed a little, "this is my second year." He said as he pulled around his back pack and took out a bottle of water and taking a sip.

Audrey raised an eyebrow with his small response of ‘oh’ about how she learned to play poker. Part of her wanted to press him for answers, and another part told her she was making something out of mole hills, as her mother would say. “So, what’s it like at the school?” she was hoping it was easy to skip classes or sneak off campus or fool around in class.

Tyson screwed the lid back onto the water and tossed it in his back as they walked, shrugging his shoulders. "It's alright, some teachers are a little uptight and there's a big emphasis on sports, kind of like any other high school really. I guess their standards are higher and they offer more classes but I've heard it's not hard to sneak off campus or into dorms." He said, hearing that most RA's were easy to bribe, but he supposed that's what happened when high schoolers were put in charge of other high schoolers.

Audrey was already planning to join the Cheerleading team. She hated all the work, but it was actually fun to do flips and twists, but what she loved most of all was being able to get away with a lot of things because of the uniform. “Alright, so I might actually have to study a little, I can do that.” She really didn’t, she was shockingly lucky in all her grades, somehow picking enough right answers to pass. She didn’t think the luck would continue. “So, I can sneak over in the middle of the night if I feel lonely? Movies are more fun with someone else,” Sure she was using the excuse of movies to make him feel like she wasn’t expecting anything, but to tease him, she winked.

Tyson nodded when she said that she would need to study, sometimes classes were a little tricky for him, which made him study longer than usual so he wondered how much studying Audrey would actually do. He stepped around a few large roots that arched up from the ground but on her next words his foot caught and he almost fell but reached out, grabbing onto a tree to steady himself. "Oh, uh, I guess." he stammered.

Audrey watched as he almost tripped and couldn’t help but giggle, “Don’t worry Tyson, if you aren’t the type to make out for fun, I won’t force you.” She really did mean it, it wasn’t like she couldn’t find someone else to make out with, although that had been the main goal when she first spotted Tyson. “Do you play any sports?”

HIs face reddened at the topic of conversation and almost face planting, the urge to run and hide in the woods was getting stronger. He came to a stop where the trail started to curve, looking back at her. "Is that why you're hanging out with me?" He asked, there wasn't anger in his voice, just a...dullness to it, "just to see how long it takes until we hook up?" He shifted from foot to foot, unsure how he would feel if that was the truth. "I...play football and baseball."

Audrey tilted her head to the side as if she was thinking, “Maybe at first,” She admitted, knowing from experience with certain people it was better to be honest, “But now I kind of like you, so I’d rather be friends.” She smiled brightly. It didn’t mean she would stop flirting with him or teasing him, finding it kind of cute the way he blushed. “You’ll have to explain the football game to me, I’ve never understood the rules.” It didn’t matter that she’d watched hundreds of games from the sidelines as a cheerleader, she just knew the cheer when the other girls did.

Tyson was surprised she was being honest and wondered if he had been an idiot and gotten himself friend zoned. If so he was bound to hear about it from Darius endlessly, this had to be a new record. "Friends," he nodded, "right." He wasn't sure how he felt about that, though it would make school easier when the time came. "It's not that hard, just cheer when everyone else does." He managed to joke, more wanting to lighten his own mood.

Audrey raised an eyebrow at his response, “Did you want me to say yes? That all I want is to get in your pants?” she asked, a devious smile growing on her face. “Because I still do,” She pointed out, having had several guy friends she slept with before, and even a few girlfriends who swung that way. “That’s generally all I do.” She laughed.

Tyson's mouth almost fell open and he shook his head, "I want the truth but I wasn't expecting that." He replied, looking away from her. There was that weird feeling again...that feeling of being different. On a physical aspect he could get why people wanted to mess around and sleep together but when he thought of that for himself he felt...nothing but a lack of understanding or need. "Well as long as you cheer for the right team you'll be fine."

Audrey shrugged, “It’s the truth,” She wasn’t sure if she even lied, he’d be happy about it. She wanted to roll her eyes, wondering why it was such a big deal that she slept around, and he didn’t. She didn’t care if he didn’t want to sleep with her or anyone else, so why was it a big deal if she did? “I’m only young once, I just want to enjoy life and have fun.” It was something her grandmother told her once, after going on about how she was just as mischief in her young years. She gave him a small smile at his comment on cheering for the other team, wondering if he thought she was stupid enough to do that. She knew the differences in teams, just didn’t know the rules. “Do you like playing?” She was ready to change the subject.

Tyson nodded, "I guess you have a point." He agreed, but he couldn't let himself fuck around and go wild, he had scholarships to maintain and a future to think of, a future that meant he could support his mom after everything that had happened to them. "Playing is fine," he shrugged, he was decent at the sports he was part of but the attention and loudness of it all was something he wished he could avoid but playing sports was another way to earn an scholarship to a good college too. "it gives me something to do besides homework."
