Audrey laughed when said that was a name for a three-year-old. “How about just Ty.” Poking at him to find where his buttons were, where the limit was with him, though she was wondering if he had one at all. “I think you stole lunch they had prepared, so technically, it was for us in the first place.” She giggled, popping a Cheeto into her mouth, enjoying the crunch of it.

"I guess Ty works," he shrugged, "but I can't guarantee that I'll always respond to it." He half joked but in all reality if he was focused on something and she called him Ty he probably wouldn't respond. "Exactly," he nodded to her reasoning as he opened a sandwich and took a bite, sitting up a little more and looking out over the camp and pointing at a group of students that were running between the edge of the tree line. "Looks like they're playing a game down there." He wondered if his brother was down there, betting he had some how gotten roped into playing whatever game that was.

Audrey felt like she won something with him agreeing to the nickname, not caring if he didn’t respond to it. She often didn’t respond to her own name, choosing to ignore specific people when they called for her, like her parents. She picked up one of the sandwiches as he pointed out a group of kids running around. “I saw there was flag football on schedule, and capture the flag.” She didn’t care for sports, the only reason she ever went was to watch the guys in their tight pants.

Tyson nodded, taking a bite of his sandwich as he watched the other campers run around. "My brother's probably down there running around like a chicken with his head cut off." He chuckled a little and pulled one of his knees up to his chest as his gaze drifted down and along the lake.

Audrey inspected her sandwich before taking a tentative bite, finding she didn’t hate the taste, but it wasn’t like her mother’s fancy tea sandwiches she was used to. It slightly reminded her of her nanny who used to make her and Victoria’s lunch when they were young and picky. “How old is your brother?” she asked, wondering if he was in the same grade as Victoria.

Tyson set his sandwich down on its wrapper and picked up a bag of chips, eating a couple of them before responding. "He's fifteen, he's going to be a freshman." He told her, "he's the more...outgoing of the two of us." He explained, Erick was usually easily distracted but it didn't take him long to make friends or get involved in activities.

“Oh, so he is the same grade as my sister.” Audrey smirked, wondering if those two would have any classes together. She wasn’t sure how Victoria would act towards him, she often would act really nice to one guy, but she’d hate another for no reason at all. Or at least, she never told Audrey why. She frowned at that thought, realizing how she and her sister weren’t that close at all. She chuckled when he mentioned he was the more outgoing one. “Shocking, really I thought you were the mor outgoing one.” She teased, knowing if he started acting outgoing, she’d think hell froze over.

"Yeah, I guess so," Tyson nodded, his thoughts mirroring Audrey's about their siblings but he felt a little uneasy, wondering if Erick would be too much for Audrey's sister, he could be a bit of an acquired taste. He shot Audrey a glare but there was a small smile on his face, "uh huh, if you think that then you're in for a big surprise if you ever meet Erick." He joked a little.

Audrey raised an eyebrow when he said his brother might surprise him, “I don’t know, I’m still full of surprises,” She smirked, knowing this was fairly tame for herself, though he’d have to see her at the club to get the full effect, but that shouldn’t too far along. She finished off her bag of chips and concentrated on the rest of her sandwich, “So, are you ready to start back at school?” She wasn’t, that was for sure, but she was excited to meet new people and have some fun.

"Well I don't disagree with that." He laughed a little bit, eating a few more of his chips as he watched the lake. He paused giving her a small smile, "what do you think?" He joked a bit, feeling like the answer was a bit obvious, "but yeah, I'm ready, I got my summer reading done and all that." He shrugged, ready more for a routine than anything else.

Audrey giggled slightly at how he was prepared already for school, finding him such a dork. But she couldn’t stop smiling about it though. “How many books did you read this summer?” She asked, deciding to guess the amount silently in her head, though she wasn’t sure how high, would be too high.

"Only three," Tyson shrugged, they were a couple thicker books but they weren't that bad and gave him something to do. He knew this just made him look like more of a nerd but he didn't care, feeling like Audrey wouldn't be that judgmental about it, besides it seemed obvious that he was studious and enjoyed these kinds of things.

Audrey raised an eyebrow, a little shocked that he had only read three, “Only three? I was expecting like, thirty.” She laughed, wondering why she thought he would be just because he liked studying. “Please don’t tell me it was like, the dictionary or something like that.” She teased, but she would believe it if he said yes.

"Well...that was just the books for class," he said a bit sheepishly, now if it came to books he was reading for fun...he had no idea how many he had read but he knew he was at the library more often than not before he had to come to camp. He frowned a little when she asked about the dictionary, shaking his head no, "No...but I read like...Beowulf, Nineteen-Eighty-Four, and Frankenstein for my honors English class."

Audrey stared at him, blinking slowly as he explained what books he had read, glad that she wasn’t in honors English, because those sounded terrible to her. “Well, that’s one class we won’t have together.” She chuckled, a little sad at that thought, but that wasn’t going to stop her from seeking him out on campus, especially if he still needed to fulfill his part of the bargain.

By the look on her face Tyson could see that she had no interest in what he had to do. He grimaced a little and shrugged, shoving another chip into his mouth before responding. "I'm in a few honors classes," he admitted, which meant more work but also meant that his college and scholarship applications look even better. The only classes that he had that weren't honors were the few electives he had to pick out to fill in the gaps.

Audrey shook her head, “I don’t think I’d be able to survive an honors class, I’m not one to study,” She admitted, though she had to admire those that did since it seemed such a feat to her. “I think the one study session I tried to join, kicked me out because I tried to study, and ended up flirting.” She grimaced, suddenly realizing how bad that sounded. No wonder her dad told her she wouldn’t amount to anything, though that wasn’t her goal in the end anyways. “What other classes do you have?” She asked, wondering if they had anything together.

Tyson smiled a little, at least she was honest. "Well, when people get together for a study session the goal is to study, not try to get some action." He teased a little though something about the thought of her flirting with someone else felt a little odd to him. "Uh, I have all the basic classes and two electives, I got to choose Geology for one," he held up his finger, "don't laugh at me-and the other one I really didn't have a choice, the other classes I wanted didn't have any room so I got stuck with pottery."

Audrey rolled her eyes, but her smile was big, “I knooooow, he started it,” She pointed out, even though all he did was accidentally brush his foot against hers, and she took it from there. “He didn’t seem to hate it,” She shrugged, thinking geology was a weird class to take, but he did like rocks. “So, we do have a class together.” She chuckled, having found herself in pottery after all the other art classes were taken, but she wouldn’t tell him which one. Granted, she didn’t think it would be tough to figure out.

Tyson rolled his eyes, of course the guy didn't hate it. It wasn't hard to see that Audrey was a knock out-it was one of the reasons he didn't think she was really into him, sure she had flirted but found out pretty quickly he wasn't the type. "We do?" He raised an eyebrow with a teasing smirk, "I knew you liked rocks." He joked.

Audrey made a ‘really?’ questioning face as she dramatically rolled her eyes. “Not Geology, I’d be totally lost in that class.” She didn’t know the first thing about rocks, other than there were rocks and lots of different types. “Pottery was the only Art class available, so I was forced into it.” She shrugged but was kind of interested in what she could make out of just plain clay.

Tyson chuckled at the look on her face and started to clean up their trash from their lunch. "So pottery it is, which, technically, involves rocks." He couldn't help but joke some more, but he was pretty sure that he wouldn't end up liking the class at all.

“I mean, I guess.” Audrey shrugged her shoulders as she moved to stand up. “Don’t worry, we still have our night out to hang out,” She smirked, ready to make it happen soon, hoping he would keep up his part of the bargain,

As they talked Tyson got an idea, wondering how many rock shaped things he could make and still pass the class. It might be an experiment he would be willing to try, at least for a little bit. "Right, the night out." He nodded and got up from their spot, taking the blanket and stuffing everything into his backpack and slinging it over his shoulder so they could continue on their way but walked over to the edge of the cliff, looking down at the rocks and edge of the lake far below.

Audrey could tell he wasn’t looking forward to a night out, but she was optimistic. “Hey, if I came along on your trail to the mountain top and had a good time, you can come out and have a good time.” She smiled brightly, hoping she’d be able to get him to loosen up and have fun. She watched him walk to the edge of the cliff and look out. “Don’t get any smart ideas to get out of it.” She pointed out, laughing, debating on scaring him slightly, but if he should go over she wouldn’t be able to stop him.

Tyson looked from Audrey then back down at the bottom of the cliff, shaking his head, "I won't, I made a promise and I'll keep it," he replied, reaching up and scratching at the back of his neck. "I was just trying to get a look at the different layers in the rock." He said with a slight shrug before turning and walking away from the edge.

“Uh huh,” Audrey smirked, feeling like if he had the chance, he might jump to avoid going out to the club. “Its not like, just one big clump?” She asked, feeling like mountains and hills and dirt and rocks were all just there from the beginning, though she knew things changed overtime, like how the Grand Canyon was made. “Where to next?” She asked, wondering if this was the end of their little trip or if there was more, part of her hoping there was more.

Tyson shook his head no at her question, "over time sediment gathers and pressure brings it together to form the rocks, as time passes more sediment gets deposited and it greats layers. In those layers fossils can be found and sometimes, depending on color, you can tell what time the rocks came from or if there was some kind of shift in the tectonic plates or something that causes cracks." He said, not realizing he had gone off on a tangent before it was too late. He cleared his throat, "you'll see." He replied as he went down the trail.

Audrey tried to pay attention, but it as hard when it wasn’t something she was interested in, “Yeah, you’ll enjoy Geology.” She teased, though meant it in a good way, giving him a big smile. She found it kind of cute how interested in rocks he was, kind of like how she liked collecting little unicorns, though she thought how cliché of her, but they’re so cute. She raised an eyebrow when he said she’d see, wondering where he as taking her now. “I mean, so far I really enjoyed the wildflowers.” She held up her bouquet, which sadly, was already wilting, but she planned on using hairspray to keep them forever.

"Yeah," Tyson nodded, at least glad that she didn't just walk away from him when he was rambling, "it just like that...they kind of tell history in a way." He said as he walked, looking over at her and her flowers with a small smile. "I thought you might, it's a really nice place." He said, tucking his hands into his pockets. "It was hard to not take you to a place for swimming." He joked a little.
