Blake laughed when she admitted that her friend would have punched them if she had the chance. He guessed she sort of saved them from that and worse if she hadn’t told Shannon to leave with her. When she suggested coming back here alone, with just the two of them, he raised an eyebrow, “Thought I wasn’t flirting well enough.” He teased, chuckling but he wasn’t planning to say no. “I don’t have to tell the guys about the place tonight.” Which was his way of saying he wouldn't be opposed to what she was suggesting.

"You called any of that flirting?" Cordelia teased him back, trying not to laugh. She wasn't sure if she considered any of what he had said flirting. She took a slight moment when he said he didn't have o tell the guys about the pond, figuring that might be his roundabout way of saying yes. "And I don't need to tell anyone about it either...sometimes the less people the better."

“Well, more like teasing,” Blake said honestly, but shrugged, his style of flirting wasn’t for everyone. He figured she liked the more direct flirting, telling a girl she was cute or saying how much he wanted to kiss her, but he figured that was more for someone he was serious with, he wanted to get to know the person first before jumping in too deep. “Perfect, next time we can bring a few people for a small party.” Or not, he didn’t care either way.

Teasing, typical boy, she supposed as she nodded. Cordelia wasn't much one for beating around the bush anymore or guessing how people felt about her since she obviously hadn't been the best judge of character in the past. "That sounds like a good idea for next time but...I'm pretty sure Shannon won't come if those cowboys are here." She laughed a little.

Blake sighed when she said her friend wouldn’t show if those cowboys came along. “Not even for a little fun? Alcohol?” Though he wasn’t sure where he’d get the alcohol, or how the punchbowl was spiked that night. He could tell which counselors were cool, but he wasn’t sure if they would let it slide if he asked about alcohol.

"Hmm I don't know, she really doesn't like one of those twins, whichever one who started singing to her." Cordelia laughed, she could already picture Shannon trying to drown that one. "I don't think I'm really up for that kind of excitement tonight." She added with a coy smile.

Blake laughed as he paddled them out from the hiding spot, joining the tail end of the group as they headed back to the shore. “I believe it’s Reed she dislikes. She kissed his brother Jake.” He’d learned quickly how to differentiate the two twins, but it was probably easy because he was his own twin. “Doesn’t have to be tonight, just another night. Or bring someone less likely to murder one of them.” He chuckled.

"Ahhhh, right the kiss," she grimaced a little, remembering how the guy who had been playing guitar shoved Shannon off of him like a hot potato. Out of the three the one that Shannon had kissed did seem the most....interesting to her. "I think tonight it'll just be me," she smiled, "I can bring friends another time." First she'd have to find other friends.

Blake chuckled, finding the whole situation had been hilarious. “Shocked she didn’t slap Samuel for pushing her off of him,” he’d been expecting it, but maybe it was because she’d been drunk that she was at least a little friendlier. “Alright, so I’m bringing drinks, snacks, and my buds.” He teased, only planning to bring a towel and maybe a drink and a snack if he could sneak it out of the mess hall.

"Yeah I am too." She laughed, thinking that if Shannon tried to really punch any of the guys she would end up getting her hand hurt worse. "Okay," she rolled her eyes but smiled, "I'll see you and all your friends then." She joked.

Blake smirked as she went a long with his stupid little joke, “Don’t worry, it’ll just me and whatever I can steal from the mess hall.” He was sure he could get in the say way he and Samuel had that first day, though he was sure it had been left open for a reason. He pushed his paddle into the lake, the shore in sight where everyone else was getting out and heading in, when his paddle was tugged. “What the-“ he said just as his paddle was basically ripped from his hands. “Fuuuuuuuck.” He muttered, twisting in his seat to see if he could see the paddle and whatever had grabbed it.

"Is it too much to ask if you can snatch me something too?" Cordelia asked, wondering just what he'd be able to find...or how he would get into the mess hall at all, assuming it was locked up and unavailable to students but by the way he spoke it seemed that it wasn't all that sealed up. She leaned back, looking up at the sky but the second Blake swore she turned around, seeing that his paddle was completely gone, her mouth falling open. "Don't tell me you lost yours too...."

Blake was going to say he was already planning to bring in snacks for the two of them, but the paddle became his biggest priority. “It was as I it was ripped from my hands, so it must have gotten stuck on something.” He frowned, spotting the very tip of the paddle floating just below the surface a few feet away. “Either we use our hands and hope for the best or I can swim for it.”

Cordelia grimaced a little, looking from where the tip of the paddle was and back to where they were, "if you want to try swimming you can, or we can both abandon ship for the hell of it, I think the canoe has made its choice to become one with the lake." She joked, reaching down and dipping her fingers into the water. It was a bit of a chill bit quick to adjust to.

Blake grimaced at the thought of leaving the canoe to its fate and possibly getting in trouble. On the other hand, they had kept drifting still and the paddle was now further away than the shore. “I think I’ll take my chances and head for shore,” He stood up in the canoe, planning to jump in. “Who knows, whatever grabbed the paddle could grab us next.” He teased before jumping into the lake, causing the canoe to rock slightly.

Cordelia grabbed into the sides of the canoe when Blake stood, staring up at him. At his joke the idea of a lake monster or Jason Vorheese reaching up from the water to drag her under, making her nervous for a second. She squeaked when he jumped, but started to laugh, "hey! Don't leave me behind!" She carefully got up and jumped into the water.

Blake surfaced and shook his head, water spraying everywhere as he laughed, “Hurry up slowpoke!” He teased but didn’t start swimming back to the main beach shore until she surfaced from the water. “Don’t worry, just swim fast, hopefully whatever it is, won’t be able to catch you.” He chuckled, knowing it was most likely just some plant that the paddle got stuck on, but how horrifying it would be to find out it was a body at the bottom of the lake.

Cordelia surfaced, her hair plastered over her face. She pushed it away as she laughed, "you had an advantage!" She took a breath and dove under the water, swimming as far as she could before surfacing again a little closer to Blake, "I don't have to be super fast, just faster than you." She teased and started to swim to shore, catching up with Blake but continued to swim past him.

Blake swam at his leisure, until she finally passed him. He smirked and turned around abruptly. “What was that?” he said, acting concerned and checking the water, as if looking for something underneath the surface. “Must have been a plant.” He sighed with relief, and just as he started to swim, he ducked into the water, letting out a cry. He didn’t waste time though, not sure if she fell for his prank or not but swam as fast as he could until he could easily stand up. He took a deep breath, running his hand over his hair and his face, pushing the water out of his eyes, before looking around to find her in the lake.

"What?" Cordelia whipped around seconds after Blake had gone under the water, her mouth almost falling open. He had to be joking but what if he had gotten a cramp or something. She was about to swim towards where he had been when she felt the water move against her leg and almost screamed herself when Blake came popping out of the water, almost giving her a heart attack. "Oh my god! I thought you for real drowned!" She said, swimming towards the shore where he was and stood up, kicking some water at him but was laughing.

Black chuckled when she said she thought he might have drowned, “That’s so sweet you care about me,” he said, blocking the water she kicked at him, trying hard not to laugh. “Sorry, I couldn’t resist the opportunity.” He waited for her to join him at the shore before falling into step with her. “Guess we should tell them what happened. The lake ate the paddles.” He nodded his head with confidence about the story, knowing that was exactly what he planned to say to the counselors.

"Uh huh, I just wanted to make you be the fish food, not me." Cordelia joked as they walked, running her hands through her hair and twisting it to rid it of as much water as possible. "Really? I was going to tell them we hit a huge log and went down like the Titanic," she smirked, a teasing glint in her eye, "but, you know, with a better survival rate."

“Oooo, too soon to joke about the Titanic,” Blake teased, pouting as if he as really sad about the Titanic, even though it kind of was sad. “What about we were hijacked by pirates, they held us at paddlepoint. We had no choice but to abandon ship.” He laughed, walking over to the counselors who were pointing out to what he could only guess was their canoe.

Cordelia laughed, "oh sorry, I should have known." She joked with him but her face turned serious as he talked about pirates and nodded, "yes yes, that's definitely more believable, we didn't stand a chance against their cannons." She said and walked with him over to the counselors, giving them a face that she hoped showed guilt and a bit of a fear from what had happened.

Blake chuckled before becoming a little serious when they reached the counselors. He took full blame, claiming his paddle had gotten stuck, and that he’d accidentally knocked Cordelia’s out of her hands. He wasn’t sure if they believed him, but they nodded their heads and grabbed the jet ski only they could use and went out to fetch the lost items. Blake turned to Cordelia and smiled, “Off the hook, guess I’ll see you tonight.” He smirked, wondering if he should try for the mess hall now, or wait a little.

Cordelia kept up with the charade, nodding along to what Blake sad and managing to keep the sad expression on her face but as she watched the counselors take out the jet ski she wondered how hard it would be for someone else to get their hands on it. The thought was brief, combated with how easy to would be to get caught but she still thought it would be fun. She smiled back at Blake and nodded, "I guess so." She murmured before wandering back to her cabin.
Later that night Cordelia tucked a blanket under her arm and slipped away down the trail, having changed into a little pair of black shorts and a loose fitting tank top, her hair falling loosely down her shoulders as she walked. She almost missed the trail to the secret pond but the left stick caught her eye and she quickly corrected her way. Once at the pond she laid out the blanket and slipped off her shoes, wandering into the water up to her ankles. At first the cold was a bit of a shock but it didn't take long to get used to. She wrapped her arms loosely around herself and looked up at where the moon seemed to hang right over the spot and wondered if Blake really would come or if she'd be left here alone looking like an idiot.

Blake hadn’t really changed anything besides putting on a dark gray shirt. He kept his swim trunks on, having laid out in the sun to dry while taking a nap before Reed and Jake dragged him to play flag football. He’d been able to sneak into the mess hall to grab a couple of bags of chips, some cookies, and soda before heading out down the trail he knew would come across the one they’d made earlier that day. It was dark under the cover of the trees, but he spotted the stick pointed the way out towards the little beach and followed it, spotting Cordelia standing in the water. “Started it without me.” He teased, noticing the blanket and placed the stuff he’d snatched onto it.

Cordelia turned when she heard his voice and smirked, "well, I guess that means you're the slow poke now." She teased back, glancing down at what he put on the blanket. "Brought yourself some snacks?" She asked, slowly walking over to him, "I suppose that makes being late okay." She continued to tease.

Blake chuckled, “Sorry, had to wait till everyone left the mess hall. Didn’t realize it would take so long to clean.” He was sure they were probably drinking, goofing off, wasting time, but damn he hated waiting sometimes. “Not just myself, I grabbed enough for my second snack.” He teased, kicking his sandals to the side as she walked over.

"I knew it was all for you." Cordelia laughed, from his history she doubted that he was being serious but she would play along to humor him. She reached down and pulled off her shirt, wearing his swim suit from earlier underneath and set her shirt down on the corner of the blanket before wiggling out of her shorts.
