"Yeah, go somewhere else." Riell agreed, relieved that he could at least agree to that, "somewhere where we can just relax." She said, trying to think of a place but kept circling back to one and hoped it wouldn't be too weird. Once Diane was over Riell paid their tab and boxed up their food. "Now we just have to walk outside to my truck, okay?" She got up from their table, offering him a hand if he wanted it.

Jeb kept trying to understand where they were going, but the tie-dyed blob before him wouldn’t say exactly where. His house was a logical option, but she didn’t know where that was, and he wasn’t going to tell her. She could be with the shadow people. He jerked his attention to the window, “Not outside.” He mumbled, but then noticed there were no longer shadow people, it was just dark outside.

Riell frowned slightly but kept her hand out to him when he didn't move towards her. "Well we gotta go outside to get to the truck, it won't take long, promise." She told him gently, hoping he'd agree and follow her out. She felt like the owners wouldn't mind if they stuck around but she didn't to risk Jeb freaking out further and potentially causing a scene that would warrant the police or anyone else being called.

Jeb narrowed his eyes at the hand before him, but eventually took it. His brain wasn’t going very fast, but he felt like he could run faster than a blob could if it was needed. “I don’t trust you entirely.” He admitted, though he stood up from the booth, feeling the world spin, but he was used to it.

Riell bit her lip, hoping he would agree, sighing softly when he took her hand. "That's okay," she told him gently, "but I promise I'm going to take care of you and keep you safe." She tried to reassure him as she helped him stand up and walk out to her truck. "Alright, I'm gonna unlock my truck and the lights are going to flash for a second but it's okay." She continued to talk to him, shifting their to go boxes so she could get her eyes, pressing the fob and unlocking it and opening the passenger door for Jeb.

Jeb walked slowly, jerking slightly at random times either because he saw something or because his body just ticked that way from the drugs. “You don’t… Have to do that.” He could take care of himself if he could get home that is. He wasn’t sure if this was how his father felt, but even when he offered for his dad to live with him, he refused. He stared at the open passenger door with narrowed eyes, trying to figure out if this was a trap or something, though he wasn’t sure he was worth trapping in the first place.

Riell reached in, setting their to go boxes on the center console of her truck then turned her attention to Jeb with a kind smile though there was a bit of a shadow behind her eyes. "I know I don't, but I want to." She told him, stepping out of the way so he could decide if he wanted to get in or not. If he ultimately decided not to she would figure out some sort of way to ensure he got home safe.

(Jeb runs into the woods instead and dies of an overdose JUST KIDDING)
Jeb wobbled slightly, grabbing a hold of the door to her truck to keep himself right. “Where are we going.” He asked, more in a statement voice than a question, but that was because he was still deciding in his mind what to do. He knew he couldn’t drive, but maybe he could just sleep it off in his car.

(Lmaoooo)
Riell reached out when he wobbled, figuring with her work around the farm she'd be able to support him but if she couldn't, well, hopefully she wouldn't end up cracking her head open. Thankfully Jeb managed to catch himself and Riell lowered her arms. "Well," she told him, "I can take you home, if you can remember how to get there, and stay with you to make sure you're okay or...we can go to my place and I'll watch over to you to make sure you're okay."

Jeb’s eyes darted as he tried to remember how to get home. “You… Go this way,” He pointed right, “And then you go by the purple dinosaur, and take a left.” And it wasn’t long before you came into the rundown neighborhood where his house was. It wasn’t the worst place on the street, but it definitely could do with some TLC.

"Purple...dinosaur?" Riell asked slowly, wondering if he was hallucinating it or if something like that really existed in this town. In her time hear she hadn't seen something like that and it kind of worried her to be taking directions from him while he was in this state. "As great as that sounds...I know exactly how to get to my place, if that's alright."

Jeb nodded when she asked about the purple dinosaur. “Yeah, it’s big… And purple.” Was all he could describe, but he could easily see the giant purple gorilla that he thought was a dinosaur advertising a sale at the dollar store outside his neighborhood. “Your place?” He asked, feeling like he knew something about her place, but it wasn’t clear in his mind, the picture was blurry.

"Right." Riell said again, not quite buying what he was selling. "Yes, my place, it's a little farm up on the hill." She told him, not sure if he would remember the conversation or not. The chill in the air scent a shiver up her back as she waited, not wanting to rush Jeb but at the same time didn't want to be stuck outside forever.

Jeb narrowed his eyes at her once more before struggling to get into the passenger seat. He didn’t buckle right away, until she was sliding into the driver seat and buckling in herself. “A farm…” He said, a question hanging there, but he didn’t know what he wanted to know.

Once he was in her truck Riell took a quick breath of relief, closing the door and climbing into her side of the truck and buckling herself in. "Mmhmm, a farm," she nodded as she started up her rig and left the parking lot. "I got a little bit everything out there." She told him, figuring he probably didn't remember what she had told him about her farm when he was more sober than this.

Jeb felt fear creep up his spine when she said she had a little bit of everything, “Everything.” He repeated, his mind trying to make that picture of whatever it was he was trying to picture to clear up. “Do you have, kangaroos?”

Riell tried not to laugh, she couldn't imagine having a kangaroo or any kind of animal like that. She'd seen massive tortoises before and if it wasn't for her fear of the cold she'd probably adopt one but she didn't want to risk anything happening to a poor creature like that. "No, no kangaroos," she told him, "just the generic run of the mill farm animals like pigs and sheep."

Jeb sat quietly as she drove away from the diner, “Boo. It’s the only reason I’d go to Australia.” He knew they could be mean and dangerous, but he still wanted to see one up close. Maybe see what it felt like to get kicked by one, for fun. "Pigs scream." He grimaced, knowing they tended to have this shrill scream when they were bothered with something they didn't like.

Riell laughed softly, "sorry to disappoint, but I don't have a reason to have a kangaroo on my farm." She couldn't think of any real purpose besides just saying she had one, it wasn't like she could use its fur to make yarn or that it produced any other form of good she could sell. "Pigs do scream," she agreed with a grimace, "and it gets annoying sometimes, especially when the goats join in." She said as she turned out of town and headed up a winding road onto the mountain and when they finally got close to her place she pressed a button that was on a remote clipped to her visor that made a gate swing open as she drove in and it closed as she perked in the driveway next to her home. "All the animals except my dogs are put up for the night so you won't have to worry." She reassured him as her two dogs ambled off the porch towards the truck, sniffing curiously as Riell hopped out.

“How about, the, reason of just… Having one.” Jeb crossed his arms and turned to stare out the window, feeling a headache brewing at the back of his head. He was ready for another hit, and then he could sleep, or do whatever this shadow wanted of him at this… So called farm. “Are they fainting goats?” he asked, giggling as he thought of those countless hours he was high, and laughing at youtube videos of those fainting goats. “Can you lock up bees?” he asked, turning to face her, suddenly realizing that was what he was afraid of here. He left his EpiPen in his car. He watched the dogs come tumbling off the porch, but he wasn’t afraid despite how terrifying the Diner had just been. He simply stumbled out of the truck and waited for them to greet him first.

"Well I guess you have a point there, if one ever needs a home I'll see what I can do." Riell said, walking over to the porch slowly and standing by it, "I have a couple the faint and a couple for milk." She smiled, also finding the fainting ones kind of funny. Her smile fades when he asked about the bees, remembering his allergies. "Oh, no," she said as her dogs walked over to Jeb, doing thorough sniffspection until finally licking his hands before walking away.

Jeb giggled and laughed as the dog licked his hand. He figured he was deemed not dangerous, “So what are we doing here?” He asked, his D&D mind started coming into play, making up traps and treasures and creatures to find within the boundaries of the farm.

Riell's smile softened at Jebs reaction to the dogs, glad he wasn't scared of them. "Well, the plan is to settled down, maybe with a movie, and go to bed so you can sleep off whatever's going on." She said gently and waved him over to come into the cabin, walking up to the front door and opening it up for him.

Jeb felt like his feet were too heavy to move as he stumbled up the stairs, needing to stabilize himself at thee top before stepping into her house. “A movie?” he asked, knowing he could take another hit before this so called movie, and then do what she suggested, sleep it off.

"Yup, a movie." She told him, leading him inside, the doors opening into a spot with stairs to their left that lead into a loft and underneath the loft was an open kitchen, past that a hallway. She pointed down the hallway where a door was left ajar, "there's the bathroom if you need it." She told him then closed the doors behind them, to their right was a small dining room table and chairs but beyond that, with a wall of windows facing the barns were work tables and tools that Riell used for her various crafts and lastly, off in the other corner where another wall of windows were was her tv with a large couch across from it. Riell walked over to the couch and started to unfold it, showing that there was a hide a bed underneath. She hummed softly to herself as she pulled sheets from a chest that was against the wall and then added a banket and pillows. "This will be your spot." She told him.

Jeb instantly noted the bathroom, deciding he could use the facilities for a few things, but he didn’t say anything yet as he waited for her to finish the tour, his mind barely registering what she was saying other than remembering where the bathroom was. He watched her walk over to the couch, making it into a bed that unfolded. “Oh, I could have, just slept on the floor.” He didn’t want to tell her he was used to it, having slept without a mattress for a few years growing up.

Riell frowned at Jeb, "absolutely not, that's just asking for back problems and a horrible nights sleep." She told him, "and I don't mind making the bed, it isn't that hard." She said, climbing onto the bed to make sure it was stable before climbing down and finally being done. She put her hands on her hips as she looked at Jeb with a slight frown, recognizing something familiar in his eyes. "Do you need anything?" She asked, remembering their to go boxes and walked over to the kitchen, placing them in the fridge.

“I don’t have back problems…” Jeb pointed out, though he didn’t enjoy sleeping on the floor, he just said he could if he had to. His own bed though still wasn’t much other than a mattress on the floor. He felt weird buying a bed frame, like he had to find the perfect one or he’d be stuck with it forever. Felt like adulthood. He stared at her after she asked what he needed, and he realized he did need the bathroom. “Bathroom, that way?” He said, pointing in the direction he had tried to remember since she told him.

"Point is, I'm not gonna make you sleep on the floor, its not hard to make a bed." She told him, busying herself with getting a glass of water. "Yes, the bathroom is straight down the hall." She told him, taking her glass and walking over to living room and pointed down the hall, figuring she'd be able to hear him if he wet to the wrong room but then again he seemed to be out of it enough that she didn't think he'd understand it if he went into to the room that held her band memorabilia.

Jeb nodded and walked down the hallway she pointed out. He was confused at first, but soon enough finding the bathroom, doing his business, and then some, before stepping back out. “Is it bedtime.” He stated more than asked, wondering how many hours would pass before he’d actually fall asleep, suddenly realizing he might overstay his welcome with her.
